Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum is an excellent value antioxidant blend formulated to brighten, tighten and smooth. It has a highly stable and non-irritating form of vitamin C, Stay-C 50, vitamin E and ferulic acid. Research has shown that ferulic acid actually enhances the performance of vitamin C and E as well as acting as a natural sun protector.
There are other useful ingredients too in the form of mineral rich konjac root, hydrating hyaluronic acid, soothing chamomile and oil balancing clary.
Directions:
Apply to cleansed skin. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and breakout prone.
TIA Review by Amy:
This product was exactly the kind that I wanted to try and was a perfect match for my skin type and problems.
First, I am 36, have oily, acne prone skin and have struggled with adult acne for years. While the breakouts have mostly subsided, they have left a lot of post acne brown scars around my mouth and chin. I don't generally use any moisturizer, as a good serum is enough moisture for my face. I have moderate sun damage and hyperpigmentation, few wrinkles, and very little loss of elasticity. I had been using an Arcona serum that I was pretty happy with and that did not cause any breakouts. After using Mad Hippie, however, I am a complete convert.
About the product. It has Vitamin C as the second ingredient in a form that the company calls sodium ascorbyl phosphate (STAY-CR 50) which they claim is more stable and bioavailable than the traditional L-Ascorbic acid used by most companies. Also included are vitamin E, ferulic and hyaluronic acid.
Now, I am a true product junkie and have tried countless products, but have rarely ever finished a full bottle of anything. Not this time ladies! The initial impression is so nice. It smells good, goes on silky and is absorbed quickly. The hyaluronic acid plumps the skin nicely. And after using about half the bottle I really started noticing some changes in my skin. So many of the brown spots faded that I felt a lot less self conscious without some makeup on to even my skin tone. Now, when I realized that I was falling in love with this stuff, I started to wonder how much it was going to cost. I never believe that anything that works will be something I can afford to buy without taking out a loan. I was truly shocked and was so happily proven wrong. I could love something that was also in my budget. The best part was there are no ingredients on the list that made me cringe. I ordered more and and a bottle for a friend too!

As I am sure it is true for many at TIA, I am a skin product junkie. I am always in search of the "elixir of youth". To that end, I have tried my fair share of different (more pricey) Vitamin C serums over the years and did not see any real results. That changed with Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum. Before I continue however, I have a confession to make...I originally did not purchase this product for me. I purchased it for my daughter who is 21 and had some acne scarring that she wanted to fade. Being the good mom that I am, :) I have taught my daughter from an early age to take care of her skin and to maintain a good skin care regimen. So, a vitamin C serum would be a nice addition to her routine. I chose Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum because of the positive reviews that I read, the cost, and the fact that it contained Ferulic Acid which helps protect against photo aging. (Since we spend so much time and money caring for our skin, this is a must!)
When the product arrived I gave it to my daughter to use. Within days I noticed that her skin was looking brighter and her acne scars were fading. With those results, I decided to give it a try! Immediately I noticed the texture is not like the typical Vitamin C serum which is usually watery. The Mad Hippie serum is thicker, which I like, because the application can be controlled more easily. When I applied the serum, I noticed that it went on smoothly and absorbed quickly. From there I applied my night cream and was able to hop into bed without waiting for products to dry. More time for sleep is definitely a good thing!
Within days, I noticed that my skin was looking brighter. In addition, the acne scars on the left side of my face were fading. I was thrilled! A cost effective product, that had noticeable results, was working!
Several weeks of use have yielded continued benefits. Mine and my daughter's skin is much smoother and brighter, our scars are barely noticeable and, my skin seems tighter. I'm glad that I purchased this product. It is a welcomed addition to our skin care routine and I hope you will give it a try!

I purchased this product last year and had to discontinue using it b/c it seemed to be breaking me out noticeably. Hearing all of the good reviews, I'll have to start using it again, but I did want to warn others that this was a possibility.

Being a CA native, I surf about 3-4 times a week and, to say the least, have severe sun-spots, among other skin issues that plague those who spend 10-12 hours a week in salt water. My dermatologist recommended me to her facialist who then recommended a serum containing Ferulic Acid to add to my daily regiment of skin care, but the $140+ price tag, had me searching for an alternative.
After a little bit of research, I found Mad Hippie. And with confirmation from my dermatologist and facialist, I have been using the Vitamin C Serum for about 8 months now and have noticed an increased healthiness to my skin: clarity, tightening, and, most importantly for myself, a significant decrease in sun-spots.
Thank You MAD HIPPIE!
