It is thanks to Truth in Aging community member, Faye, that I found Royal Nectar. The company behind it, Nelson Honey, actually makes the bee venom active used by Heaven - the bee venom face mask said to be favored by the British Royals. Faye hadn't just found a lookalike, she'd gotten straight to the source. After testing Royal Nectar Face Mask with Bee Venom, I loved it so much that I decided to bring import it from New Zealand and it is exclusive in the US here at the Truth in Aging shop!
Royal Nectar is super hydrating and leaves skin feeling lovely and soft. If my skin looks dull and dry, I find it to be an instant pick-me-up that gives me a great glow (and a great start to the day). And for all that there is bee venom, I find this mask gentle and non-irritating.
So what's with the bee venom? Well, this ingredient had the British press all of a flutter when it was said to account for Camilla's transformation from someone who looked like she had spent most of her life galloping on horses in all weathers. It turned out that bee venom, also known as apitoxin, is made up mainly of peptides. The venom acts as a strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, plus it contains 19 different active components. Yes, this is actual venom and so if you are allergic to bee venom you should do a patch test before using this product.
Manuka honey is another of the key ingredients and this is an able healer of wounds and an anti-bacterial that can keep acne under control. There are other good things here too. Royal Nectar has avocado and apricot kernel oils. It also has something Easyliance. This is made from acacia (a tree indigenous to Africa) and rhizobian gum to make the skin feel smoother and tighter. In case you scan Royal Nectar's ingredients list and wonder what "optiphen plus" is, it is basically the preservative phenoxyethanol, and ticaxan is a stabilizer and thickener.

An absolutely wonderful mask.
This is one of only two products that I have ever found that can effectively take down the red, sensitive patches on my cheeks which are due to rosacea, dehydration and broken capillaries.
(Bizarrely, the other is La Mer Concentrate which is hideously expensive and full of questionable ingredients).
On top of the dealing with my cheeks, I find my skin has that post salon-facial plumped up feeling all day and is very smooth and hydrated. I notice a significant difference in the marionette lines that are beginning to form every time I use it - the effects of using this cream are comparable to a caci facial which I swear by.
I am 40 years old and will continue to use this product and will be buying the moisturiser as well to see if it is as effective. I wish they made an eye cream!

I like this product a lot. It's got a very nice hand feel, and slips onto the skin easily. A little goes a long way. I've noticed good results on my neck (along with Brad serum).
I just wanted to post a little bit of a warning. I put some on one morning and went out into the driveway to do something. (CA, spring, etc) The wisteria are in bloom and if you've never smelled them, it's a lovely fragrance and attracts lots of bees. But here's the unfortunate thing: with Bee Venom on, I managed to become more of an attraction than the wisteria. They made a bee line for me. I went inside and washed it off and the bees paid no more attention to me. So if I were planning a day outdoors, I probably wouldn't put this on and leave it. Just saying, that's all.

I love this one. I'm in my 30's and would apply it after cleansing in the evening. I don't even bother washing it off now. It tightens nicely the skin, won't leave any greasy residue and won't make me break out. It has a strange soapy smell, but if you can get past that, the results are really noticeable - fine lines are lessened and the face is well hydrated.

I use this as a moisturizer because it doesn't need to be washed off. It smells and feels heavenly.

I find it quite drying. Not very happy with the product at all. I also find the fragrance quite strong.

Instead of spending $65 on a small jar why not buy a larger jar of straight Manuka Honey with Bee Venom straight from the manufacturer in New Zealand? I bought a 8 oz jar of Manuka honey with bee venom for $23 and I put the honey straight on my face. You get all the active ingredients without all the fillers. It's cheaper. AND you can eat a teaspoon a day to benefit from its anti-inflammatory effects. Great for Muscle weakness, M.S., Parkinsons, Arthritis, Gout, Acid Reflux, Digestion, Gas, Rosacea, Eczema. It dries on then washes right off.

I LOVE this product. Why?
It's in my cabinet for 2 things: 1. Botox like 2. Acne
I'll put this mask on when my skin needs a bit of an overhaul and I feel like there are too many wrinkles developing. It helps to smooth out the skin.
If I notice I'm starting to have a bit of an acne breakout, I'll also use this mask and it helps to keep it/them at bay.

The mask performed well every time I used it, but I did not see the need to use it every day. While there does not seem to be a cumulative effect, a “refreshed” look is there each time I have used the mask. I have 55-year-old skin that has really begun to sag a lot over the last year. The mask has had no impact on my turkey neck, but it does seem to perk up the areas around my eyes and jowls.
My skin is not dry and it tends to be somewhat oily in the T-zone area; so, I was expecting the oils in the product to leave my face looking like an oil slick. Instead, my skin was perfectly hydrated and felt very comfortable!
I love this mask! It does what I expect it to do every time I use it.

This product is fantastic!...Like many others, I have spent copious amounts of money on skin care products with not much of a noticeable change. But, after only three days of applying a light application morning and night, my skin is soft and age lines are disappearing. I'm totally amazed! I'm 69.

I have 47-year-old sensitive skin thaI will keep this as a permanent part of my skincare routinet is prone to breakouts. After a treatment, my skin feels hydrated and pampered - very soft and without the redness that usually follows even a mild cleansing. This is a nourishing mask that also manages to smooth my fine lines and sagging “laugh lines.”

This product is fabulous.
Mid-December was just the right time to get started with this, given cold weather and lifelong dry skin. I have used the mask once or twice a week for four weeks – not a long time but long enough to recognize that is both lovely to use and produces notable results, too. Each time I found my skin feeling really softer, smoother, and wonderfully hydrated.
