Ultrasonic is the very best treatment that I have found for sagging skin and when combined with LED it firms and plumps, and helps my fine lines and wrinkles. I decided to call this combination Ultra Renew. Yes, this is Truth In Aging's very own at-home ultrasonic/LED device, the Ultra Renew. Try it with our Ultra Renew Gel Serum

A Truth in Aging Five Best for Dark Spots and a Five Best for Sagging Skin

I set out to achieve a real advance on the basic LED device and one that would, in particular, help plump and lift sagging skin. I am very impressed with what ultrasonic can do, especially along the jawline, marionette lines and from cheek to temples. With regular use, my skin feels firmer and much better than LED alone.

Ultra Renew has ultrasonic for face firming plus there are three integrated LED lights (so there's no removal of individual light panels) - red light, green and blue for improving the complexion.

Ultrasonic is ultrasound results in tighter feeling skin. Ultrasonic also helps products penetrate and so it can be used with your favorite serum. You need to use water, or a water-based serum or gel (eg the Ultra Renew Gel/Serum) for the conductivity of the ultrasonic waves.

In ultrasonic mode, the device is pushed firmly in an upwards direction across the face. Please note that neither the device nor the skin surface become no more than a little warm and the treatment isn't at all uncomfortable. You will not 'feel' anything and hear no more than a faint hum. With ultrasound, the higher the frequency of the oscillation of the wand, the more shallow the ultrasound will penetrate. The Ultra Renew is set at 3 MHz, which is ample to penetrate the skin. In fact research has shown that increasing source power doesn't make ultrasound any more effective, so it is a gentle therapy.

The LED and the ultrasound are used consecutively (not at the same time) and I have found that about 4 minutes of ultrasonic per side of the face, followed by 3-5 minutes of LED per side is adequate.

It does not matter which order you use LED and ultrasonic. Play around as time and inclination permits (LED alone, ultrasound alone, both treatments on just one area of the face). Three times a week is optimal. It can be used on hands, neck and decollete as well. I've seen research claiming that ultrasound elevates elbows and can raise brow height by 2mm in just one session.

Ultra Renew is a sturdy, reliable device. All LED lights and ultrasound are activated at the press of a button and it comes with complimentary goggles and illustrated instructions.

Red: 650 nm
Blue: 470 nm
Green: 530 nm

Quick User Guide:
1. Use on a clean face, without makeup.
2. Connect the machine to the electric adapter and to a power outlet. Press the on/off button to display the power indicator light.
3. The ultrasonic mode and LED modes cannot be used at the same time. However, they may be used consecutively.
4. A water-based anti-aging topical of your choice may be used with ultrasound. After applying it to the skin, glide the ultrasonic plate over the skin in upwards movements. If you need more slip, apply a light gel (such as pure aloe vera), water or a spray-on facial mist.
5. Ultra Renew switches off automatically after 15 minutes. You may immediately switch it on again if you wish to continue your session.
6. There are three LED lights: Red = complexion | Blue = breakouts and pimples | Green = skin brightening

Ultrasonic mode: You must use either a conductive water-based gel, water-based serum or water on the skin you are treating. This allows the ultrasonic waves to conduct through the skin. Ultrasonic helps topical anti-aging serums to more effectively penetrate the skin.
1. Apply serum of choice, gel, or water.
2. Allow 4 minutes for each side of the face (for a total of 8 minutes). Please use your watch or a timer.
3. With your Ultra Renew switched on, select the sonic button. Then, select intensity by pressing the sonic button again. (Note: even at "high", the device should not feel hot, only a little warm.)
4. The ultrasonic plate must be pressed flat against the skin.
5. Move the ultrasonic wave generator firmly and slowly (e.g.: it takes 5 - 8 seconds from the chin, along the jaw to your ear).

LED mode: Select Red = complexion | Blue = breakouts and pimples | Green = brightening
1. Either press against the skin or hold an inch away
2. Move slowly in circular motions over the skin
3. Wearing goggles is advised and is essential for blue light mode

120/240 Voltage. Mains operated. Supplied with adapter compatible in U.S. Overseas use a simple electric adapter.

1-Year Repair Guarantee In the event that your Ultra Renew develops a fault within 12 months of purchase, please contact us.

I bought this hoping it would help with my melasma, and used it faithfully 3 or 4 times a week for three months, but saw no difference whatsoever. Judging from the other reviews, it works well for acne and sagging skin, but anyone who is battling melasma would do better to stick with topicals and supplements, I think.

    Am putting mine on Craigslist!

    Hi Marta!

Had a quick suggestion. How about a plastic cap over the panel or atleast the ultrasonic head. I clean it every time before using it.. was hoever thinking a plastic cap would be more hygienic n protective if the device is left on the dressing table.

Received my Ultra Renew three days back. It's magic:). Thank You for all your effort and sharing such a wonderful device with all of us.
(Got some trouble with the device getting heated, I have got in touch with Vlad. Nonetheless, thanks a ton!)

    Warm regards,
    Shagufta

Hi "Prestidigitator" I am sorry you dropped your device, but pleased to hear that you were refunded without question by customer service. I hope you enjoy your eBay device, please note however as it is not the exact same device as our Plus. We have significantly customized the Plus to optimize the settings of the galvanic and ultrasonic modes, as well as other uprgades.

I liked this product, but was only starting to use it, and was flabbergasted for it to have slipped out of my hand and fall (VERY lightly actually) onto my desk and have the head break off. I basically even caught it with the electrical cord, so the "blow" wasn't much whatsoever, yet it broke the head off (the silver ultrasonic head surrounded by clear plastic). In examining the device, it turns out that all that is secured to the main body by just a small piece of brittle plastic, and the head is not threaded or otherwise secured like one would expect. To me, it's a BIG design flaw to have the function head be that vulnerable. And I should know -- I am an anti-aging product junkie and have an arsenal of devices (Palovia, Baby Quasar, Tripollar Stop, Clarisonic, PMD Microderm, etc.).

TIA was good to give me a full refund, and I was going to "upgrade" to the Renew Plus in a replacement order. But it turns out I found the exact same device on eBay for $30 (no auction) so got it there. That's such a big difference in price that I felt the need to post this review.

Hi Yvonne, we recommend 3-5 times per week.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Received this a couple of months ago, but only used it yesterday. I am sure my skin was brighter today, which is interesting as I have not been well the last few days.

The instructions did not tell me how many times a week this could/should be used.

Please advise. Many of these devices advise using only 3 or 4 times a week.

Marta I was wondering if it is normal to get hyper-pigmentation or the look of a tan on the cheekbones after using the Red LED treatment. I have noticed that result the last couple times I have used the LED device. I also use a green tea pre-treatment serum along with aloe.

Thank you so much for your comments and help with the ultra renew. It may be small, but it does a lot. Very happy with it.

    Thanks Marta.

    Hi Patti
I am pleased that you are liking it so far. I am afraid that nothing is permanent - even cosmetic surgery has to be touched up over time. The effects of LED and ultrasonic are cumulative though and so over time, with regular use, the results should be more pronounced. The only thing is that you have to keep it up, or things will revert back.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I've only used the Ultra Renew a couple of times, and it made my face feel much more refreshed. Of course, I have a way to go.

I wondered if there were any findings as to whether the results that you achieve with it are permanent, specifically the ultrasonic mode?

    Thank you!

One week update: The red LED has diminished the broken capillaries on my cheeks to the point where I might be able to stop using concealer on them soon. It has also worked wonders on a brown patch on my left cheek that is now almost gone.

No obvious improvement on the marionette line on the left side of my face, but I’ve started feeling a noticeable tightening when I use the ultrasound on my forehead.

Last night I tried massaging the corrugator muscles that are making 11s between my eyes. Then I followed up with ultrasound and a frownie patch. Big improvement! Much better than ONLY massaging the muscles and wearing the frownie patch. I’m going to continue this method every other day, using red LED on the off-days to continue building collagen.

  • Hi Eva

Sorry to hear you are unhappy. I wasn't able to find an order for you on our database - only an account set up in the last 24 hours. However, if you did purchase a device from us you can contact customerservice@truthinaging.com and get a replacement.

I almost purchased the Sirius LED light, but saw this at checkout and decided on this one instead because it had the ultrasound and was cheaper (lol)

I just got this and used it 3 times so far and WOW! It dramatically reduced my cystic acne breakout. Normally it takes a week of popping/draining and weeks-months to flatten and go away. The few big, painful purple lumps I had are almost completely flat with 3 days of use. Today is day 1 of my monthly cycle and all I have on my face is 3 or 4 flat purple bumps... nice! My face will usually rage the week before and week of my cycle... then takes a month or 2 to heal..
I used all 3 lights and ultrasound (with hyaluronic acid gel because I forgot to order gel) so I don't have a whole lot to report yet.. I'm just amazed at how quick my flare up went down.
I want to use the red & blue lights on my son, but I'm worried about the lights burning out. Does anyone know how long they're good for or if they need to be replaced?

The only thing I don't really like is, the light is a pain to use because the area treated is so small. The closer you have the device to your skin, the smaller the area you can treat at one time. It would be easier to have one huge light that you can do your whole face/back/chest at one time with..
The farther you move it away, you cover more area, but is it as effective if you're holding it 4 inches away? My son's entire back and chest is covered with acne, it it might take an entire night to cover the whole thing... maybe I should just order him the LED light only? They have no use for the ultrasound..

Thanks for making an awesome device.. love it so far!

I have used this product for some months now but cannot unfortunately really see any difference even if I use it at the highest ultrasound frequency with a waterbased lotion/cream. On top of this, the plastic surrounding the metal head on top of the led lights, has turned a milky color, so I am not sure the light gets through properly. May be a defect product, but in any case I am dissapointed. :-(

  • Hi Ananda, the settings allow you to lower or increase the intensity for your personal comfort. The frequency (MHz) is not affected.

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

I have a question: if the ultrasonic mode is set at 3MHz--what do the low medium and hi settings mean? Are these different MHz settings or does it mean something else? Why have three settings? What is the purpose?
    Thank you.

I got this in mid-August and the results are remarkable. I previously got the Sirius LED on Marta's recommendation but after reading about the benefits of the ultrasound I began to consider trying this one. Then my son, who is in his early 20s, got ill and had a major attack of acne as he recovered. I turned the Sirius over to him (it worked!) and ordered the Ultra Renew. I noticed immediate improvement, especially with eye droop! Apart from aging (late 50s), I had a ptosis from an eye injury. My eyes now "match" more closely than in years! My neck is improving also. I had an obvious crepey spot after chin lipo several years ago and it is disappearing. I slacked off on the LED after a couple of weeks, thinking the results were mainly from the ultrasonic mode. My progress slowed noticeably after a few days so I went back to using both modes. The green light helps with the freckling on my decollete area from childhood sunburns. It can be time-consuming, but time very well-spent! I will switch to a maintenance regimen when my progress plateaus, but so far my skin continues to improve gradually.

I have seen similar *looking* devices on Amazon but they do not offer the generous TIA one-year warranty, and the reputation of TIA.

My only negatives are minor: A beep when the device auto-shuts off would help! I try to remember to shut it off, then on again when I move to a new area. My only other complaint would be the new Ultra Renew PLUS coming out just four months after I handed down the Sirius to get this one! Marta, have you considered a discount for those who bought the original? :) I'm anxious to try the new device but thrilled with the results from my Ultra Renew.

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

I got the Ultra Renew and the TIA serum formulated for the Ultra Renew and have yet to try it out on my face. I have had a severe and painful case of tennis elbow and have been using it on my elbow and forearm twice daily for a week. All I can say is WOW. The pain has reduced drastically and I can't believe how unwrinkled the skin on my elbow looks compared to the other arm. (I am 50) I can't wait to see what it will do for my face!

  • Hi Alexa

I am sorry that you did not receive the instructions. Please email us at customer service and we will send you a set. In the meantime, you can use the blue LED light for breakout control, holding the device slightly away from the skin so as not to spread bacteria around.

  • I just received my LED light but no specific instructions. Can I receive the diagram mentioned? Also, how is it to be used for acne? Touching the face or not and for how long? Many thanks!

  • Hi Jan-Marie

There is no reason not to use the Aq serum with the ultrasound. However, you do need a fair amount of product to have enough slip and ensure the device glides comfortably over the skin and has effective conductivity. So it might not prove very economical

  • Hi Marta! Can I use the AQ serum with the ultrasound?

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Asya

This is the original version of Ultra Renew and the two modes must be used separately. At this point I cannot say when the other version will be available. We are still in the testing stage.

  • Hi, Marta,

I see the Ultra Renew is back in stock. Is this a new version that has the two modes (ultrasound and LED) working simultaniously?

  • Hi Michelle

We are still working on the new version. I may have some more news in a couple of weeks.

    Hi Beti
You should be seeing results by now. By which I mean a subtle plumping and firming. How long are your sessions? What are your expectations in terms of results?

The machine is not engineered for the two modes to work at the same time. Although it appears that can both run at once, they will not be effective. For the ultrasound mode to work, the LED must not be switched on.

The new device that Michelle was asking about, will allow each mode to be used at the same time. We are still working on this.

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

I've been using Ultra Renew for 1 month and 1 week, every weekday, I apply a mosturizer and sprinkle some water to the face, I am 40 years old and bought ultra renew due to sagging. I have not noticed anything so far, except that my skin is more mosturized because of the mosturizer. How long does it take till I see any results? I use sonic and LED mode (all colors). I'd also like to know why can't I use sonic and LED mode at the same time.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Marta
You mentioned in a post that you might be bringing out another device with even more functionality. I am holding back on ordering the Ultra Renew because of that. When do you expect it to happen? Thanks again for all your investigative work!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Thanks to Robbin for your 10/18/12 post. Has anyone else noticed that the ultrasound seems to work at the same time as the LED? Can I do both simultaneously? It would save a lot of time.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Beti

That's not quite the right way to test it. In fact, you should immerse the tip or any part of the device in water. You should put a few drops of water on the flat metal area and you should see them vibrate very, very slightly. If you need more assistance please contact customerservice@truthinaging.com

  • my renew produces no bubbles when its tip is placed in the water, is it ok ?

I have a question related to a particular instruction in the manual listed under "Care of Your Ultra Renew." One of the instructions says to "After use, turn off the power and remove the cable to avoid overheating."

Does this mean to just remove the cable from the device itself? In other words, can I leave the cable part plugged into my electric outlet after removing the device from the other end of the cable? (For my convenience and ease of use, I was hoping that I didn't have to unplug the cable from the electric outlet every time.)

I would like to respond to Jan-Marie's 10/11/12 question regarding using the Ultra-renew when receiving botox or fillers. I recently had both treatments and questioned my physician about using ultrasound and phototherapy. He stated it's fine, as long as I wait 7-8 days after receiving treatment because the device can decrease the effect and duration of the injectables. However, after the week or so period, it is safe and even beneficial to use ultrasound or phototherapy to increase collagen production, decrease fine lines, hyperpigmentation and acne. I asked his opinion of using the device and he said that it is effective. He stated that, although he could offer much newer and more advanced techniques that produce results faster (and are much more pricey), using a device such as the Ultra-renew was beneficial and that I could expect to see improved skin tone and texture with consistant and regular use.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

So far this machine is excellent- my face is firmer, the skin is plumped out , I definitely notice a difference, actually I am quite amazed that this has worked so well for me. I have been using it for about 6 weeks, every other day about 15 mins per session. I am 46 and did not have major sagging beforehand, but I feel the hollows in my cheeks are more filled out now, and my complexion is brighter. I use it with the ultra renew gel and am very happy with my purchase.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Jan-Marie

I am so glad that you are getting great results. Hopefully with long term use you won't more fillers or Botox. I am certain that the device is keeping me out of the doctor's office. In the meantime, though, I believe the device is safe to use with fillers/Botox, but I haven't personally been able to test this and to be certain you should get the opinion of your physician.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Martha--this is a follow-up question after using for almost two months. Is it safe to use over fillers and botox? Will it remove these? I have to say that I hope not because this device really works! I am turning 60 this winter and am very pleased with what is happening when I use this. Did you say that you are bringing out a device that provides LED and ultra sound at the same time? Sounds great!
    Thanks Martha!

  • Hi Beti
Yes you can use it in LED mode, but do wear the goggles that come with the device

  • Can I use this device in eyebags?

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Annie
It is perfectly effective to use the LED mode one day and ultrasound another session. This is invariably how I use it. I find the device very flexible and it is best to find the routine that best suits your schedule and inclination. Some people like longer sessions up to three times a week. I prefer shorter sessions up to five times a week - suits my ADD personality.

  • Marta, may I ask do you need to use the ultrasonic mode and LED straight after each other to be most effective or can you split them up doing ultrasonic on one day and LED on the other? Many thanks

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

am very pleased with this so far; I'm going to use it a little more faithfully in the next month or so, but I can see results, firmer skin along my jawline, and improved overall color in my face. It's actually quite relaxing to use, like giving your face a quality massage. Thank you, Marta, I am so glad I purchased this.

  • Hi Lena. Yes, ultra renew could certainly be helpful to you.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Martha,

I'm 18 this year but I've lost a couple of pounds last year and I've notice that my face is sagging a little. Can ultra renew help? Do you know of any products which can help too? Thank you.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I am happy with Ultra Renew for giving me chance to kill two birds with one stone. I am also happy to report that it is working on my “orange peel belly” spot. This problem is probably due to lack of collagen… and therefore why the LED light combined with the ultrasound treatment is giving me results. The Ultra Renew feels like a quality device and offers two treatments in one at a price point that is waaayyy less than the others I know. I am totally sold. Thanks, Marta!

  • Hi Detts
Yes I think you could use them together - or as you say alternate sessions. The Isomers is microcurrent and the three technologies are very complimentary. Hope this helps.

  • Hi Marta

I am very interested in your product but wanted to check if it can be used along with the ISOMERS nutritone facial firming device? I use that device 3 times a week and I really like it but it doesn't have the ultrasonic feature or the LED that your device has. Would it work to use one device one day, then switch to the other device the next day?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Linda
The best way to use the LED is set out in the instruction manual: move the light over your skin every five seconds. You may hold the device against your skin or an inch away - find what is comfortable for you. The recommended session time is 10-15 minutes

  • I tried mine for the first time so am still kind of in practice mode. I am not quite sure about using LED mode. Do you sweep it over your face, or just hold it over the area to be treated? How long can I hold it over one area in LED mode safely?

    Thanks so much!

  • Yes Buttercup, exactly. In the manual you have the drawing with the lines being traced across the face and upwards - I each one once and then repeat the process.

  • thanks marta for your reply. Just one more question re instructions of ultrasound....you are saying you do 10 passes each side..so you are doing each point twice? thats where im lost...how many times do I go over the same area? MANY THANKS.

  • HI MARTA,

I just received mine in the mail and was wondering was there suppose to be an instruction dvd with it? I thought I read somewhere that it came with one. It did have directions in a pamphlet. If there is no dvd, do you think you do an instructional video on youtube? Just a thought. Can't wait to use it. If I suffer from pigmentation, acne and little bit of wrinkles under the eyes and the corner of the eyes, and of course sagging on jaw line and checks. What would you recommend as my daily routine? THanks for your help!!

I have now launched my own Gel Serum for use with the Ultra Renew. It has antioxidants and 5% YBF Control. There is more info here:
    http://www.truthinaging.com/face/ultra-renew-gel-serum-with-5-correct-its-finally-here

  • Hi Clare, the ultrasound has different intensity settings. The aloe is just a suggestion. The key thing is that you must use some kind of water based gel or serum with the ultrasonic mode (it doesn't have to be aloe, it does have to be water).

  • I think I've read everything here. Is the ultrasound in different settings, too? And is the aloe for ultrasound, or only LED?
    Thanks.

My husband who is into professional photography often notices the faintest things about me. It doesn't help that the lens of his camera picks up details that he views in mega pixels in post production!! And so when he showed me some recent pics I could see much more than a few hyper pigmented patches on the cheeks and some double chin-ing! Shock! Horror! Especially since I am not yet 40 and have always taken good care of my skin. Anyways, cut to the chase, I did my research and took advantage of the fantastic offer that Marta had- for $99- the new Renew Ultra and MAD hippie Vit C. In a few days of use, i can say that my skin has never looked this better before. I love the ultrasonic sessions and can definitely feel that my skin has improved its tone. I follow it up with the green light and then the red light. I can see improvements in the texture of my skin and my hyper pigmented areas have significantly lightened up.
Marta, your honest reviews and opinions of products are a breathe of fresh air. Its not like you are trying to sell something from the store. i say this because i had purchased some items from another site that was all quite the hype and hoopla but it didn't quite find the favor with you and you were correct...

  • Hi Jan-Marie, glad to hear that you are getting off to a good start. If you want to use the device for longer you certainly can. However, the maximum recommended is 30 minutes three times a week. Or 8-15 minutes five times a week.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

This is exciting! Just used the Ultrarenew in all modes except for acne and look the way I did after I had a series of three Skin Tyte laser treatments ($1,000!) I am telling everyone I know about this. Very clear instructions and easy to use. Took a while because I was VERY thourogh. Is there any down side to doing it longer than 8 minutes per side of face?
    THANK YOU MARTHA!

  • Hi MB

Ultrasonic and microcurrent are different technologies.

Microcurrent uses a subsensory electric current that delivers a pulse to the facial muscles and stimulates them and the surrounding tissue. You can read more here: http://www.truthinaging.com/treatments/my-monthly-salon-facial-treatments

Personally, I think that microcurrent needs to performed by a trained professional as there is an art correctly manipulating the device around the muscles. The Nu-Face OK, but all that effective in my experience. You can read my review here: http://www.truthinaging.com/treatments/microcurrent-device-face-off-and-the-winner-is%E2%80%A6

Ultrasonic is ultrasound. As the ultrasound waves pass from the treatment head into the skin they cause the vibration of the surrounding tissues, particularly those that contain collagen. This vibration leads to the production of heat within the tissue. You can read more on that here: http://www.truthinaging.com/treatments/ultrasonic-how-it-works

Here is a selection of products for use with LED and ultrasonic:

    Hi Marta,

I have a few questions. I have been looking at several different types of device. I really like the idea of having a 2-1 device like yours. But I wanted to know what is the difference between ultrasonic and microcurrent like nuface? Also have you come up with the best products to use for bother the LED and the ultrasonic?

    Thank you!

  • Marta/Dara,

For age spots (brown spots), isn't green light the best for that? I thought we use green light on any form of pigmentation issue?

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

Using UltraRenew for over a month now. Immediate results were less deep labial nasal lines (esp below mouth) and a deep wrinkle between my eyebrows is now a faint line. The other real success has been less visible spider veins on my legs. I use the green light and they are MUCH lighter (some even disappear). They come back unless treated, I may not be vain enough to keep the leg thing up full time. Now for the areas that are taking time, my forehead lines are only slightly shallower. My cheeks are tighter and the jawline is coming along. I have quite a saggy neck, and I wasn't having much progress. I realized I had stopped my other neck device, the Neckline Slimmer (yep, As Seen on TV!), the thing is dopey, but actually works. Using that AND the UltraRenew is yielding better results. Both require regular use. I have tried the red light on flat warts on my leg and my one age spot to no effect.

  • Thank you, Marta and NJ. I will try the way you advised.
By the way, I was using only red light.

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

    Julia,

Just my 2 cents, from another person who used to get the prickliness you mention.

I used to get blue-light LED at the aesthetician's salon for acne/blackheads etc. . It was often very very prickly to the point of pain, so then she would back it off the skin as Marta suggested. I don't claim to know anything medically about it, but I know the blue light seemed to kill the bacteria on the skin, as my facialist said it would. We never used another color LED, so I can't compare them.

I don't get it now with this device, but my skin has been through a lot, so I'm not surprised.

    All the best, NJ

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hello Julia

Some people seem a little more sensitive to LED than others. In your case I would advise holding the device away from your skin. You can hold it 1-4 inches away to find what's comfortable for you. It will still work.

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

    Hi Marta,
Eventually I have tried the device (which I received a couple of weeks ago) . I tried it one day with ultrasound an another day with LED. Everything went well with the first mode but with LED I felt quite a discomfort: it was kind of pricking sensation - most probably form a static electricity phenomenon.
Is it a known side effect? How can I deal with it?

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. For me, this product worked literally right out of the box. I'm a 48-year-old post-menopausal gal with eye wrinkles, necklines and medium-deep acne scars over a lot of my cheeks.

    1. The first time I used it, 3 days ago, a line on my forehead virtually disappeared. I used both LED and Ultrasonic.

    2. Second time I used it was yesterday, and used both again, as directed. Today I woke up and my face looked so much smoother over all. I thought the effect might dissipate during the day, but at the end of the day, I'm looking as good or better! Almost all 4 forehead wrinkles are gone, I'm not kidding. The depth and shadow to the nasal-labial lines (either side of nose) are now shallower--again--not kidding!

    3. The effect seems to be just like I used to get when I paid $250 for this kind of treatment about 5 years ago to a dermatologist, and I had it done every month. It stimulated collagen growth around the acne scars, but took months to see the results.

    4. Now, to be clear, I also used it with the YBF private reserve oil in LED mode and with aloe vera gel in Ultrasonic mode. So, I'm sure the YBF oil had an effect, but I can't so the extent of it.

Thank you Marta!! Many many times over!! Wonderful, wonderful product.

I'll report back on eye wrinkles and scarring as I keep using it over time.

  • Hi Loretta
The metal plate in the center is emitting the ultrasonic and is about an inch across the surrounding panels are for the LED and are about two inches (although the light itself reaches a wider surface area.

  • Hi Christina, this is not something that I have heard of before, but I would certainly stop using it right under the eyes and use a good eye cream. As a general point, ultrasonic is not "fat burning". You can rad more about this and how it works here: http://www.truthinaging.com/treatments/ultrasonic-how-it-works

  • Quick question -- how large is the head that emits the ultrasonic and LEDs?

    Thanks

  • I've used the device twice and didn't see not to use it under my eyes. I see a pronounced hollowness under my eyes that was not there before. Will this go away? I'm freaking out. I LOOK WEIRD. Did this thing dissolve the fat under my eyes or something?

  • Hi Rose, that's so good to hear. There is a link to a set of instructions from our FAQs page or you can go directly there from here:

I adore this product and have already seen results. May I request a link to an electronic version of the instruction manual for those of us who have lost the one that came with our unit?

  • Hi NJ, for sagging cheeks or jawline, the ultrasonic and red LED light modes are best

  • Hi Marta,

I have both sagging cheeks and some shallow and deeper acne scarring on my cheeks. Which mode and light would be best for that situation, do you think?

    Thanks for your input! NJ

  • Julia you can touch the skin in LED mode or hold it an inch away. Up to you.

  • Should we understand from your answer to Celia that the device should not even touch the skin while on LED mode?
I just wonder - why all these important details which we see in your answers, Marta, are not mentioned in the leaflet?...

  • Hi Julia, yes you can use LED under the eyes. For the ultrasonic mode, you can use it along the top of your cheek bone under the eye. If you really want to tuck in under the eye be careful to not let the device drag the delicate skin - you'll need to use plenty of product to ensure it glides.

    Hi Celia
You need to use the goggle with the blue light, but red and green are safe. However, to be on the safe side, goggles are recommended in all three LED modes. You don't need to move the device in LED mode. Look in the mirror, decide where you want to point it and have it poised while you close eyes, put on goggles. Then when you are ready to move to a different area, just point the light away from your eyes and readjust.

  • Thank you for your answer, Marta, but one my question is still open: can I use the device at the under eye area?

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

    Marta,

I have used the Ultrasonic mode several times for enhancing the serum absorption and for firming up- and liked it quite a bit. The effect is subtle but I do think it works!

However, I got a stupid question on the LED mode- since I never tried LED light.

If I have to wear the goggles attached, how do I do it?
When I wore the goggles, I was not able to see anything-- it completely blinded me! How do i apply the LED light on myself while wearing the goggles? Thanks!

    -Celia

    Thanks!

Hi Trice, yes use any water-based cream, gel or serum that feels comfortable.

We are formulating with Your Best Face something that will be especially for use with Ultra Renew so just hang in there for a few more weeks.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Marta - Thanks for the answer. So can I use any water based product or only water based serums? I am only asking because I have the Mad Hippie serum, which I really love, but after I put it on there is not a lot of slip. I do have the Mad hippie face cream and that is water based and has more slip. Could I use the face cream?

    Thanks in advance.
    Trice

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Trice, yes water will be the first item on the ingredient list).

Julia, you can use it for up to 30 minutes. A minimum for each mode would be four minutes. If you want to use each mode for the minimum time consecutively then it wold total 8 mins. If your serum is water based and gives enough "slip" for the device to glide comfortably then you don't need anything else.

  • I have a quick question. How do I know if my serum is water based. Because water is the first ingredient on the list?

I used the device with the Mad hippie serum but didn't really feel anything working (on the sonic setting) although I can hear a buzz. The next day I used it with something else, I really need to start a journal, and I felt a distinct tingle.

    Thanks.
    Trice

  • Hi Marta,

I received the device a couple of days before and didn`t try it yet. I had many questions but after reading the comments I have just three left.
    1) It`s written that two modes cannot be used at the same time. So, 8 minutes includes both modes?
    2) Can I use the device at the area around the eye?
    3) Is it obligatory (as I understood from the leaflet but not from your instructions) to use gel or water anyway if I use my serum?

    Thank you

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi JM, you can use the device at any time of day. Looking forward to hearing back from you in a few weeks. Good luck!

  • I received my Ultra Renew Ultrasonic LED and am so excited to give it a spin! I note from the instructional video that use is recommended about three times per week for about eight minutes each session. I am wondering, can the device be used in the a.m., or is strictly p.m. use prior to sleeping recommended?

Thank you! After trying the device for about one month, I'll be back with a review!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Thank you for your question, which has been posted here several times under different names. I shall repeat my answer. I can’t comment on the one you have found on Amazon as I haven’t tested it. I have worked with a manufacturer for months testing and refining mine. Therefore, I know that it works. Yours may be just as good and have the same functionality, but I simply don’t know because I haven't tested to ensure that it works and is reliable. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, but trying to source good quality products for the community here.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I asked this yesterday and have not yet seen the response--and it's important..

Please tell me what the difference is between the Ultrarenew and the Photon Light Green+Blue+Red And 3Mhz Ultrasound Face Massager being sold by New Spa and on Amazon.

The descriptions appear identical, the picture appears identical, the product features are identical. The only difference I can see is in the price.

Is this the same product but just using your name?

  • How is this different than the Photon Light Green+Blue+Red And 3Mhz Ultrasound Face Massager machine currently advertised for both ultra sound AND red, green, blue LED lights?

They seem to be absolutely identical products in appearance, description, use, and benefits. Are they produced by the same manufacturer but with different names?

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

I have had my Ultra Renew for over two weeks. I think I see a difference in my face (tiny), not so much on my sagging neck (it may be a while). Actually, I had a DEEP furrow between my brows that is just a line now. Some leg spider vein patches lightened up a lot w/ one treatment of green LED and highest wave setting. “Permanent” bruises are taking longer. The spider veins have been slow in returning, but I’ve not exposed my legs to the sun yet. I expect I will have to treat both regularly.

  • Hi Daisy, you can use the blue LED light for acne. Acne scars are also helped by the red light and the green light can be use for hyperpigmentation. The device is effective especially when used with an antioxidant repair and/or skin lightening serum. You do have to be patient and diligent and use the device 3x a week. It may take 3 months to see effects on scars and hyperpigmentation.

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

I only see reviews for anti-aging, how effectiveis this with acne and acne scarring, as well as hyperpigmentation?

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Ronnie, no Ultra Renew does not have infra-red. The Sirius Aurora does. I haven't found any research on the combination of the two being more effective - although it may be, my monthly salon sessions combine LED with UR. Personally, I find the ultrasonic the most effective.

  • Marta- I thought the device had red and infrared LED lights, the infrared being invisible to the eye. I was under the impression that the having both is what works best.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I’ve only been using my Ultra Renew for 2 weeks now but I’m already seeing some improvement in firmness! Really happy about this!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Yennis, Ultra Renew does not have infra-red light, just LED and ultrasonic

  • Hi Marta,

I'm interested to purchase this device. Does this has infrared light?

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I’m writing this based on over six weeks’ experience with Truth in Aging’s new Ultra Renew combo ultrasonic and LED treatment device. I am delighted with the experience – have learned about the value of ultrasonic – and think this is a very good way to put $89 to work.

The controls for the Ultra Renew are immediately intuitive, and in LED mode, the light frequency (color) is controlled by simply clicking the controls, rather than changing out different-colored plates – far easier and more reliable.

Besides better accommodating my limited attention span, the Ultra Renew really worked. Ultrasonic was a big surprise: I would agree that it provides a subtle but real firming effect, and that my skin seems somewhat “lifted” – jawline, cheek, brows, even forehead. I used it on my neck as well. The LED mode worked as I’d expected, and I soon got into a routine, alternating treatments between green and red. I used LED on my neck, chest, and hands, too. (It’s great for hands, in my experience, and I definitely have those freckles better under control.)

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I stopped using the DPL after 90 days (several years ago) because I didn’t see any progress and I use creams and potions, hoping to at least slow aging. BUT, I must tell everyone that I have been using the Ultra renew for several weeks, several times a week and I have documented with pictures that the sagging of my lower face has lessened. It’s almost unbelievable! I attribute it totally to the ultrasound. My turkey neck skin is more difficult, but I’m hoping it responds soon. I’m 59 y.o. so you know I have skin issues that conceivably could not respond like a younger skin, so I am elated. I just hope it continues!

Hi Laurie, when you say you have an Opal, do you mean the Clarisonic Opal? And if so, can you point me to where it actually claims to be ultrasonic, as I am not aware of this. What Clarisonic says is that is uses "proprietary sonic" technology. I don't know what this means. Clarisonic evolved from the Sonic toothbrush (now owned by Philipps) to the Clarisonic brushes and then then the Opal. Essentially, they all vibrate. But this is not ultrasound, as far as I am aware.

Ultrasound is high frequency sound waves, between 800,000 Hz and 2,000,000 Hz, which cannot be heard by humans. You will hear no more than a faint buzz from the device. Galvanic is different again. It converts electricity into a direct current so that the electrons flow continuously in the same direction. Based on the theory that light charges repel, the galvanic negative currents encourages the absorption of charged ingredients and so the device must be used with a gel.

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

I'm very confused about the Ultra Renew's "ultrasonic." I recently purchased the "Opal," which uses ultrasonic for the purpose of greatly enhancing the penetration of a serum. You put a drop of serum on top of the Opal's silicone tip then apply it under the eyes. There is no electrical conductivity going on. Also, I can definitely feel and hear the Opal when using it.

However, I almost cannot hear the Ultra Renew, and cannot feel it. If the Opal claims to use ultrasonic and the Ultra Renew claims to use ultrasonic, how is it that they both are so different from each other?

Opal does not use electrical conductivity from a silicone tip vs. Ultra Renew requires electrical conductivity. If so, there is no indicator light on the U.R. displaying whether or not it is actually conducting electricity when using it.

I was wondered if the U.R. is more like galvanic, instead of ultrasonic.

    Please clarify!

  • Hi Rhonda
With ultrasound, the higher the frequency of the oscillation of the wand, the more shallow the ultrasound will penetrate. The Ultra Renew is set at 3 MHz, which is ample to penetrate the skin. In fact research (Harvard Medical School) has shown that increasing source power doesn’t make ultrasound any more effective, so it is a gentle therapy.

  • Marta, what propted your decision to go with a 3mhz frequency unit rather than the 5mhz unit?

  • Thanks so much for the info on the levels, Marta. I've been using it on high and hardly feel the heat, so it's fine. Maybe you can answer this question too- how does the commercial Ultherapy differ from this? Is it the Mz or something else?
    Thanks again.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Ronnie
The levels increase the intensity and you are supposed to find the one that is comfortable for you. I always use the high setting myself and I don't find that it gets too warm.

  • Can Marta or someone clarify for me what the different modes of Low, Medium, Hight in the Ultrasound mode are for?

  • I received my ultra renew a couple of weeks ago and have tried to use each mode about 3x a week, but I don't think it's been enough time to see results or give a review. I'm 59 and really hoping for lifting of my lower face and neck. It does require a lot of time to use the device in both modes over face, neck, arms, etc, but I guess it must be done! :) One questions I do have is why are there 3 intensities of the ultrasonic? Why would you not always use it in high? If it's a 3MHz device, what changes are there in the levels? I guess that's 3 questions!
As I started looking through the internet for LED/Ultrasonic devices after I got this, I found one almost exactly the same for a little more money, so I was glad for TIA. But I also found devices that were 1MHz which they said were geared for the body, where 3MHz is for the face. I guess you need to offer one of those, too! Thanks

  • Hi Molly, demand for Ultra Renew took us by surprise. We have more coming from our manufacturer and hope we will be able to ship before July 4th. We'll keep everyone posted.

  • Wondering when you're restocking this product so I could order it!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Marta, I waited a few weeks to review until after I had a chance to use the Ultra Renew. I love it. I must say I was skeptical but I have read many articles, including reviews too, on your site and others about LED and ultrasonic. I looked at my forehead the other day while doing my hair and it looked like I had used botox!! My forehead is definitely more lifted and smoother. I have not yet noticed much difference in my jaw line but I am hopeful since I have seen improvement elsewhere. Really like the LED lights as I have seen slight improvement in my lines around my mouth and nose area. And, both modes are so relaxing to use. I feel like I'm doing something good for my skin and plan on using this for a long time. Thank you so much Marta for bringing an affordable option to TIA, yet one that performs as well as the higher priced ones. And, if I may, with the ultrasonic mode, is it ok to use plain water or does it need to be used with a water based serum? Thank you again.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Julia

Truth In Aging sources this product directly from the manufacturer. We negotiated a decent wholesale price and pass that on to the Truth In Aging community. Its a win for everyone. I decided to source this product after researching it and many others and then testing this one for months. My company is a small one and cannot afford clinical trials, which are expensive. But then, I'm not making any claims at all for Ultra Renew other than what it does for me.

  • Dear Marta, can you advice me some article with the results of the clinical trials of the device? I also asked recently here what is the reason for such a low price, comparatively to other devices and would be very thankful to get an answer.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

i have read all these reviews and i have decided i must have it! as i do not own it yet i cannot comment on how effective it is.. only wanted to compliment you on the seemingly wonderful thing you are doing. there is sooo much out there to weed through to get to ANYTHING that might have a shred of truth to it's claims. i appreciate what you are doing here AND that your making it accessible to everyone. . thank you marta for being so helpful, and so patient with all us goofballs just trying to feel the best we can about ourselves.. god bless :)

  • Can anybody, please, give me the reason for such a low price for such an effective device?

  • For forehead, it should be moved upwards from brow to hairline. For upper eye area, move it gently upwards at the brow bone.

Regarding pregnancy, our manufacturer gave us those contraindications. Most LED devices come with advice to consult a doctor if pregnant or not to use if pregnant

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Marta,
Can I ask why you can't use it when pregnant? If ultrasound is used safely on the belly then why not the face? And what about LED?
    Thanks!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I used the red/green lights alternately for a week and the ultrasonic at least 4 times that week. I went to coffee with my girlfriend and she told me my face looked fabulous! I then had to share my secret. I have noticed a few requests for eyelid and forhead patterns, but I do not see a reply. I too would like to try a brow lift, but am not sure of placement and what direction to move. I am hoping readers will share their secrets?

As far as red light therapy goes for pain, I gave a unit to my mother who reports her hip, ankle and knee arthritis seem relieved after a 30 minute session on each area.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I LOVE my ultra renew. I have only used the LED 3 times and the ultrasound 2 times and I feel like my skin looks more refreshed and tighter. Oddly enough I woke up this morning and could swear that my cheekbones are “popping” out more! I have’t seen my cheekbones since before I was pregnant (and 10 lbs lighter)! I don’t know if it’s due to the tightening effect but I’m SOLD. I’m so happy that my post-baby skin is looking better! So how often can I use this thing again? =)

  • Darn- I was hoping to use the ultrasound to tighten the skin on my neck! I will talk to my doctor, though, because mine is hypotyroid, so maybe it will actually bring it back to normal!
    Thanks, Marta.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Lisa - please email Vlad at customercare@truthinaging.com
Hi Julie, you do not need to use all these products when you use your Ultra Renew. Just pick one that feels the most comfortable to use with ultrasound. You could use the LED lights consecutively if you wanted to - but only if you need to treat the same area with all three lights (red for wrinkles, blue for acne, green for hyperpigmentation
Hi Ronnie, please don't use the device on your neck without your doctor's advice. All these devices are contraindicated for a hyperactive thyroid. Ultra Renew not really designed for muscular pain treatment and I haven't tried it for that. However, it is true that red LED light is used for muscular pain and it wouldn't hurt to try it.
Here is the link to the video Naheed: http://www.truthinaging.com/treatments/video-of-the-ultra-renew-led-and-ultrasonic-device

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

Thank you Marta for making it clear. I would still suggest a video of proper usage. On the instruction it says both modes can't be used consectively, but when I am using LED and turn on sonic, the LED remains on (confused). Also, it doesn' turn off after 15 minutes. Yesterday I used it for 18 minutes and it was still on.
    VIDEO PLEASE MARTA!
    THANKS.

  • Thanks Marta. In regards to not receiving my instruction booklet, do I need to contact anyone in particular with my mailing address?

  • Hi Martha thank you for your answer -
Can I apply my face/Eyes creams right after the aloe vera gel?
Can the toner and the serum be applied around the eyes too (crowfeet + fine lines areas)? If not what serum would you recommend(Is it needed if I already have an Eye cream?)?
Can We use the 3Led lights one after an other?

    Merci beaucoup!

  • Sorry Marta- I just thought of another question. I have read that both ultrasound and red LED can help relieve pain on various parts of the body. Can this device be used for that?
    Thanks again.

  • I just received my device and also have some questions. The instruction booklet shows use of the Ultrasound on both sides of the face, but not above the lip or on the forehead or on the neck/chest. Can it be used there as well? Also, after reading instructions for the LED I notice there was a warning not to use on the neck if there is a possibility of a thyroid problem. I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism (low thyroid). It was just barely below normal, but I started very lose dose medication 3 days ago. Should I not use the LED and the Ultrasound on my neck, or just not the LED? And why?
    Thanks Marta.

  • Hi Naheed, Julie and Allison,
I shall try to answer your questions. First general usage (please also see the instruction booklet with your device):
    1. Ultrasound is for face firming
    2. There are 3 LED lights - red light for wrinkles, green for hyperpigmentation and blue for acne.
    3. In LED mode, you can have the device as close to the face as is comfortable for you.
    4. The device does not get hot and you will not 'feel' anything in either mode
    5. LED red and green lights are not harmful to the eyes. Goggles are advised, however. And goggles must be worn with blue LED
    6. You can safely use if glycolic and retinol is part of your regimen. LED is not UV light.
    7. You need a water-based solution with ultrasonic and antioxidants with LED. If your chosen product has both then you need only use the one (ie you can use a serum with no need for a toner as well)
    8. You can use LED after ultrasonic or vice versa, the order does not matter

  • Hi Marta,

I was reading Lisa's comments and found that I too have questions on use for the Ultra Renew. I received mine the other day, and purchased a bottle of Aloe Vera. I did get a little card in the box, but it did not explain the LED functionality vs. Ultrasonic and use recommendation. I will check again, but if there is a more comprehensive instruction sheet, it would be great if you could post in on the site. I want to make sure I am doing this right, as I am new to the tools and to your site!!

Thanks and excited to be a new member to TIA.

  • Hello Martha - Am I using my Ultra Renew correctly?
You said "Three times a week is optimal [...] about 4 minutes of ultrasonic per side of the face, followed by 3-5 minutes of LED per side is adequate."
    Step 1 ultrasonic mode
anti-aging serums: Osmosis replenish antioxidant (in my case)- optional
aloe vera gel (in my case) as a conductor keeping the skin moistened as I move the device - required
    Step2 Led Mode
antioxydant: 100% Pure Jasmine Green Tea Tonique (in my case) - required
    --------------------------------------------------------
As a recent member in her 30s of TIA (giving it her all!! ;)) below is my new facial regiment:
1- cleanser (+ scrub occasionally or mask)
    2- Toner - 100% jasmine green tea
3- Serum - Osmosis replenish antioxidant
3bis- Aloe gel for Ultra Renew sessions
4- Eye Cream - La vie celeste
5- Face cream - La vie celeste
6- btw should I apply an spf cream on top of it all?
    7- Am I missing something ;)?

    Regarding the Ultra Renew Sessions:
Is it ok to do the Led mode just after 2- then do the ultrasonic after 3bis- ? Does the order matter?
Or can I do both modes after 3bis-? In that case scenario:
If there is already antioxydants in the toner can I apply any other (anti-aging) serum, reciprocally if the serum has antioxydants do I still have to use a toner with antioxydants or even a toner at all? Should I do ultrasonic followed by Led as you recommended?
Do I have to clean my face again after 3bis before proceeding with 4- 5- 6-....etc? (Won't the gel go in the way of the cream like adding some stickiness?)

    General questions:
I received the toner and the serum without instructions, can I apply them around the eyes too (crowfeet + fine lines areas)? If not what serum should I use around the eyes?

Thank you very much for your help!!

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

I have used it twice since I got it but am still confused about the correct use of it.( I used it today and noticed that my makeup went on more smoothly) .Although it came with instructions, but after reading Marta's answer to one of the user, I am more confused. In the instructions it does not say to keep it away from face on LED mode. It will be best if a video about its proper use is available. Also, when I turn it on do I select the intensity also, because if not then I don't feel anything until I select one of the settings and it is still not warm on the highest setting. With LED, is it necessary to use goggles? they kind of dig into my eyes. How close can I go to eyes with this mode? Can this device be used after I use Sirius. I also do Glycolic peels, how long should I wait before and after a peel to use this? Can it be used with Retinol? I would appreciate if Marta can answer all these questions.

  • Hi Lisa
Ultra Renew comes with comprehensive instructions and I am sorry yours did not include them. I will have them mailed to you on Monday. In the meantime, in LED mode it is best to hold the device an inch from the skin. It isn't really necessary to move the device in LED mode (in ultrasonic, it should be moved in an upward movement).

  • 5 stars 3 out of 5

Hey Marta- I received my Ultra Renew a couple of weeks ago but have yet to use it. It did not come with any instructions. Was it supposed to? I have a pretty busy schedule and this is the first chance I have had since receiving it to get to the website and look for
instructions. When using the light therapy what should I be applying to my skin? Also when using the light therapy am I to use the unit against my skin and move in straight upward movements? Thanks

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I’ve been using it for a little less than 2 weeks and am already loving it. I have only done the LED twice (I wanted to test out results from ultrasound versus LED) but have been using the ultrasound just about most days and am already seeing results. The most visable difference is in the ‘hooding’ of my eyelids. I feel like I’ve taken off several years already! I am very pleased with my Ultra Renew and so glad that I’ve found something that actually works.

  • The video will be up next week!

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Thanks for the clarification Marta - I'll buy some pure aloe vera gel accordingly. Are you able to advise when the video for the Ultra Renew will be on the website? I'm assuming it will provide some much needed guidance for the klutzes in the TIA community such as myself!

  • Hi Satajnuic

Actually, it is better not to use the Private Reserve with the ultrasonic mode. Ultrasonic needs a water-based product for conductivity. Its not unsafe, its just that ultrasonic waves won't be effective.

I am trying to find the perfect product for Ultra Renew in both modes but am not there yet

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

Hi Marta - I just received mine in the post and am very excited! I purchased it with the YBF Private Reserve Antioxidant Oil offer and am not sure whether the YBF is safe to use in both modes? I'm fairly confident that I can use it with the LED mode but just wanted to check before trying the device in Ultrasonic mode. Many thanks, Satajnuic

  • 5 stars 4 out of 5

I am still waiting to see if the green light will do anything for my age spots. Nothing so far. But the red LED light and the ultrasonic part seem good. I am using it 3 x a week and think I can see an improvement/tighter skin

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

I have been using this for two weeks since I ordered it from you. I really am impressed with the ultrasonic mode. My skin looks more toned and firmer, especially around the jawline and sides of the mouth. I wasn't expecting a miracle. But so far this is exceeding my expectations

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

    Hi Sylvia

I am glad you are enjoying the LED. The ultrasonic mode should not get hot, at most very slightly warm (after five mins or so). For the forehead, move the device upwards.

  • 5 stars 5 out of 5

hi i received my Ultrarenew yesterday and tried it last night.
love the convenience of not needing to change heads for the LED.
i tried the ultrasound setting too and followed the diagrams, it felt good but scarcely got warm even on the high setting, will comment more when i see results.
i read with interest that it can raise the eyebrows slightly with continued use.
could Marta please post a diagram for use on the forehead?
i am very keen to try this but not sure whether to work upwards or across the forehead lines for best results,
thanks Marta great device at a great price

I received the email announcing the Ultra Renew and had to order it immediately! I used it for the first time last night and I am so happy with the immediate results, I had to comment My first thought upon using it was that I had a defective device since I felt a slight scratching on my skin - until I realized that I left the plastic on the metal sensor!! It was very hard to notice (with my eyes anyway), so please don't make the same mistake I did! After removing the protective plastic, it felt perfectly smooth to use. I've been having a stubborn rosacea flare-up for the last week or two, and after using the LED mode with blue light on my cheeks last night, I was shocked to see in the mirror this morning that the outbreak is almost completely gone!! I also used the ultrasonic mode and look forward to the results I will be seeing. So far I love the convenience of having the 2-in-1 device! Thank you Marta, once again!!
