Reviewed and recommended: Circadia Myo-Cyte Rx Serum
I approached Circadia’s Myo-Cyte Rx Serum ($150) with a great deal of trepidation. After all, I had just read Copley’s post on pherAdore made by the same company. pherAdore is basically a vial of male pong. According to Dr. Pugliese of Circadia, there is scientific evidence that women become more relaxed and approachable after inhaling a male pheromone. In my opinion, it would take a male doctor to come up with that one. So, naturally, I was wondering if Myo-Cyte Rx Serum would smell just as fishy.
It turns out to be a very good wrinkle reducer based on a blessedly simple formulation of some excellent anti-aging ingredients. I’ve been using it for about three weeks now and it has definitely put paid to some fine lines, as well as giving the skin a nice, smooth glow. In fact, I like it so much that now that I’ve finished the sample bottle I’ll actually buy some of the stuff.
The real stars of the show are the three peptides: acetyl hexapeptide, palmitoyl pentapeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide. The first is the neuropeptide that relaxes the facial muscles and thereby reduces expression wrinkles. Of considerable interest is L-carnosine. Carnosine actually extends the Hayflick Limit. Skin cells can only reproduce themselves around 52 times and then that’s it, they’re a gonna. Carnosine extends their ability to reproduce to just over 60 times, making it a real anti-ager. And then there is threonine, which helps keep connective tissues and muscles throughout the body strong and elastic. Finally, there is L-glycine, another amino acid that helps the body produce proteins.
I hope that one day Circadia will take a fresh look at its preservative strategy and find alternatives to parabens and urea. In the meantime, I will still be adding this to my bathroom cabinet.

I read another post you did on Nutra-Lift Rejuvenating Therapy and was impressed with all of it’s ingredients as well. I am wondering how you would compare Circadia to Nutra Lift now that you’ve tried both? The Nutra Lift is much more affordable to I’m wondering if Circadia is really worth that mugh more?
I think that the results of Circadia are noticeably better. And if money is no object then I’d go for that. However, the Nutra-Lift is a good product for the price and definitely worth buying if Circadia is out of your price range.
Marta, How did you get your sample? I’d love to try this before dropping the $150.
