The wonderfully named Horst Rechelbacher is the chap who founded Aveda and sold it for a not-too-shabby $300m to Estee Lauder about 10 years or so ago. He has returned to cosmetics business with a line of organic hair care products. Intelligent Nutrients has about 20 products in the range that Horst says are based on "nutritional chemistry", which means they only use ingredients the body recognizes and can assimilate.
Intelligent Nutrients is on the high end side; the Spray-on Detangler (a sensible idea that replaces the need for a heavy conditioner) is $38 for 6.7 oz. But it does look almost good enough to eat. Organic glycerin and lecithin provide the 'slip' and there is an antioxidant mix of cumin, pumpkin, grape and cranberry seeds.
The same antioxidant mix is in the only other product besides those in the hair care range: Lip Delivery Nutritian. This is a simple chapped lip stick with coconut oil, sunflower and other oils, but the antioxidants give it a nice anti-aging twist.
As you can imagine, given that Horst described the beauty industry as "sick", there is nothing nasty at all in the Intelligent Nutrients range.

Lynda Spung was talking about? I went to the Intelligent Nutrients site but they don’t have that shampoo listed. I have horribly thin, fine hair and it is always falling out. I would love to try that shampoo.
