TheraNeem Organix Cleansing Bar- reviewed and recommended
While I wrote about a facial bar last week that incited a little wildfire of comments, one reader asked whether the bar was a good item for the body. While I don't recommend it, it inspired me to review a product I wholeheartedly recommend: TheraNeem's Botanical Cleansing Bar (Sweet Orange & Ylang Ylang). Theoretically, you can use it for both the body and face, but I would just stick to the body as it contains tons of oils and shea butter that are probably best left for your body and not the face.
TheraNeem is a brand I admire and trust as they are ecologically friendly and strive to put the purest organic ingredients in their products. In fact, this soap bar is 100 percent organic, mostly certified! And while the WonderBar (last week's post) used 1,000-year old clay, the highlight of TheraNeem Botanical Cleansing Bar, which uses the neem oil, is also just as old. I actually tried out their Men's Complexion Botanical Cleansing Bar almost two years ago, and found it to be a fine product.
The Botanical Cleansing Bar contains about 20 percent neem oil, which is a strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory known to protect and nourish, not to mention it's totally natural. You won't get that from a Dove bar. There's also great oils that help everything from moisturizing to softening. The earthy scent is quite nice too and stays with you even after you bathe. Best of all, it seems to last forever! Not bad for $6.95.
