100% Pure Cocoa Kona Coffee Body Butter- reader reviewed and rejected
I was excited to try this body butter because it has so many natural ingredients. I am a 56-year-old female with dry skin. When I first opened the container, I encountered a pleasant aroma and to this day, I swing back and forth between what exactly I smell. Part cocoa? A little coffee? A bit buttery? Whatever it is, it is very pleasing to the sense of smell. There are no chemicals and it is truly 100% pure. I decided to perform a little test of my own by applying it to my arms and one leg… yes, one leg. On the other leg, I used another moisturizer or sometimes none at all.
Unfortunately, the most disappointing experience with this product was applying it. It has a consistency similar to a very hard block of butter straight out of a cold refrigerator. I could not grab it very well with my fingertips and found that I had to use the back of my nails to scoop it from its container.
Applying it to my legs and arms was also difficult as I would have to place a bit on my skin and try to spread it – I felt this to be a bit rough of a manner for a body butter. After finally applying it, I noticed that it really did not seem to absorb and just remained on my skin. If I sat on my computer chair and placed my arms on the rests, it would leave residue (appearing like oil or grease). So then I applied the body butter only at nighttime to avoid leaving residue on my furniture.
I feel that this product is just average in moisturizing abilities. In my opinion, it is a chore to apply and it transfers because it does not seem to penetrate the skin. For a product that has everything right as far as ingredients and safety are concerned, I have to admit that this body butter was a disappointment.

did you ever try scooping some out then warming it by briskly rubbing it between your hands to warm and liquefy the product somewhat? by attempting to smear a block or chunk of a product on your skin you're not going to get very far. products labeled butter should be VERY thick and require the warming between the hands.
