One thing I truly regret missing while I was away is the Oscars. By no means am I addicted to tabloids nor do I religiously watch shows like
Entertainment Tonight (is that show even still on?). But last year, I managed to see most of the movies that were nominated for awards and so I could effectively determine whether the winner deserved the little, golden man (in my opinion, of course, though I'm no critic either!). I also had favorites to root for, which is kind of like watching sports. It's actually quite exciting.
I found out later that several of the award winners (and losers) actually use the YonKa products (including Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn and Melissa Tomei). This was interesting to note and it completely inspired me to dig into my bag of samples. The product of choice goes to...... YonKa for Men Nutri-Moist!
I already fancy the brand for its claim to fame YonKa Quinetessence, which is a concoction of five powerful, organic essential oils that are in every product (lavender, geranium, rosemary, thyme and cypress). They also pack in pure botanicals (more than 80 species of plants), which you know is going to promote effective and therapeutic skin care.
The Nutri-Moist is rich and the citrus-heavy scent just drives me wild (the oils are truly fragrant). It actually penetrates quickly. The active ingredient is virgin pumpkin seed oil. This is interesting as it's not the most popular in skin care but it's quite effective. It's packed with omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, vitamins A, C, E and zinc. A great addition to any product, really, as it's restructuring properties help dry, matured and damaged skin (goodbye wrinkles!).
Even with pumpkin seed oil's rich vitamin content, the nutri-moist (aka: antioxidant energizing nourishing cream) also has vitamins E, C, A and B5 to add to the punch, all of which helps prevent cellular aging. Talk about synergy. The moisturizing and purifying grapefruit extract (another active ingredient) also lends a helping hand in the fight to stop premature aging.
It's nice to have your face feel soft and actually smell good. It's a winner in my book and I get the award for best face.

I love Yon-Ka and always try to have facial when there is a chance, unfortunately not a lot of salon in the UK stock or work with the brand? Is it because it is not that well known or too expensive?

Wow, Ido, thanks.
I still wear the eye mask on long haul flights. It's silk and velvet with "Sleeping Beauty" written on it, which I think is pretty funny. It's better than the standard British Airways nylon job anyway.
I just bought myself another tube of Phyto Contour eye cream -- the one I mentioned before. Milia, for anyone who doesn't suffer from them, are tiny white lumps filled with keratin. They are impossible to get rid of through squeezing -- believe me, I've tried and suffered the consequences. This cream is one of the few out there that targets this problem specifically, and in my experience, it works really well. It also smells wonderful from what I remember.

Justine, that was indeed a special gift we had for the holiday season. We normally just sell the product in its normal small package.
