I’ve come across the best body scrub ever. It makes my skin feel so fabulously soft and nourished that I don’t need to use a body lotion afterwards. It almost is a moisturizer, just one that you put on in the shower. This lovely new find is Sugar Body Scrub ($32/8oz in the TIA shop) by Me & The Girls.

Indeed, while the first ingredient is sugar cane (and that, of course, does the scrubbing part), the rest of the ingredients are all worthy of your favorite moisturizer with coconut, shea and avocado oils. Almost all the ingredients are USDA certified organic.

The real star of the show is cupuacu butter, a fragrant fruit related to coffee (but smelling more like pineapple) and full of antioxidant flavonoids. This is a signature ingredient of Me & The Girls. As a butter, it is very hydrating. As is tamanu oil. Typically, tamanu oil is obtained from the seed of this tropical tree and contains benzoic acids, fatty acids, small amounts of vitamin F and much more.

I am almost addicted to this scrub and wish it came in a 16oz tub. Multitaskers are always welcome in my busy life and in summer, when I know my body lotion is going to melt almost before I am dressed, the fact that Me & The Girls’ Sugar Body Scrub means I can skip it is a very welcome bonus.
