iS Clinical Copper Mist

iS Clinical Copper Mist

Size: 4 oz (118 ml)

iS Clinical Copper Firming Mist is a refreshing facial mist that hydrates on contact and then continues to firm and smooth skin. With its incredibly simple delivery system and lineup of age-rewinding antioxidants, it's an ideal post-cleansing step in your skin care routine. Plus, its cooling effect makes it perfect for soothing and re-hydrating sunburned, irritated or post-facial skin. Our unbiased reviewers love this fresh mist, so you can try it confident that it'll be effective.

This firming mist includes botanically sourced PCA, which is used to regulate sebaceous gland activity so it regulates oily skin as copper PCA draws moisture from the air and firms skin. This powerful combo makes iS Clinical's mist ideal to pair with any at-home treatment devices, or to be used on its own for a lifting boost.

Tested for at least 30 days and recommended by Marta:
After a month of use, Copper Firming Mist has more than lived up to my expectations. I anticipated that it would be hydrating and hoped that it would be a beneficial addition to my arsenal of wrinkle reducers. What I didn’t expect was that it would live up to its name and actually be firming. Yet it does – so much so that I gave it a special mention in my recent Five Best for Sagging Skin round up.

Copper PCA is the copper salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid and one thing it is very good at is drawing moisture from the air. Hence this mist is very hydrating. It also helps control sebum. Another reason to feel grateful for this mist on a warm and sticky summer evening. Best of all copper is a collagen booster and that is where the firming part comes in. Cleveland Clinic points out that studies have shown copper peptide promotes collagen and elastin production and also acts as an antioxidant. It also promotes production of glycosaminoglycans.

Research has shown that copper and red LED light make a powerful combination (see my article on copper peptides) and so it’s a great idea to spritz with iS Clinical Copper Firming Mist before or immediately after an LED session.

There isn’t much to dislike, except the preservative disodium EDTA. And then there’s just so much to love about this simple, but antioxidant rich, hydrating and firming formula. Try it sometime, otherwise you’ll be wondering what you’ve mist (sorry!).

This toner-mist is a refreshing (and simple) way to incorporate more copper peptides into a skin care regime. I've been using this along with Deciem NIOD Copper serum, and so far the combination has been working great.

Hi Pamela, I am sorry it isn't working out for you any longer. I think twice a day with this product is also a problem, especially if you have dry post-retinol skin and are in a dry environment. I think you should simply cut back to a few times a week and you'll still get the benefits.

This is an update to my review on 10/15. After using the mist 2X day for 10 days, my skin became progressively drier than before. I even experimented with application of another moisturizing toner on top of the iS mist before applying my serum and moisturizer. Still, my skin was not looking healthy. TIA Customer Service was very helpful with information. I guess I didn't read the TIA review closely enough before purchasing. There is at least one ingredient in the mist that draws moisture from the air for the benefit of your skin. Unfortunately, if you spend a lot of your day in a dry or air-conditioned environment like I do, this same ingredient seems to takes moisture FROM my skin instead. I like the mist - it feels nice when applying, and would love to benefit from the firming effects - but I just can't figure out how to make it work for me at this point since I cannot really change the humidity levels in my environment.

So happy to find these ingredients in a mist product. My 63 yr old dry skin really needs the action of these ingredients before I apply my other products. The mist is very, very fine and has a lovely feel on my face.

Hi Shalini, copper peptides interacting with vitamin C is an urban myth. I have researched this and is perfectly OK to combine these two ingredients. I have written about this here:

I really love the firming effect of this serum. Skin instantly looks fresh, firm and radiant. I however have a quick question: Can this be sprayed over the Medik8 CE Thione or will Copper nullify the effects of the Vitamin C?
    Thank you!
