TIA Review by Marta:
Body lotions tend to be the poor relation of skincare. Osmotics Age Defense Barrier Repair Body Silk is one that finally takes aging as seriously as a high tech face serum. It lives up to its name in more ways than one. It really does give the skin a nice, silky feel - but with no tackiness or sense that it wasn't being absorbed.

Squalane and sodium hyaluronate make it super hydrating. It also has Osmotics' signature ingredient, carnosine. This is one of Truth In Aging's Five Best picks for antiaging ingredients. It is a natural amino-acid that is a potent antioxidant, helps to chelate ionic metals (flush toxins from the body) and has immune boosting properties.

An important active ingredient is thermus thermophilus ferment, a marine microbacteria that scienctists believe plays an important role in DNA replication and repair.

A little goes a long way (a couple of pumps or so is all that is needed).

Our Take...

I believe that it was a product by Osmotics called Anti-Radical Age Defense that got me thinking that there might be something to this anti-aging cosmetic stuff. At first I was skeptical, here was a face cream that didn't just contain an antioxidant, it claimed to attack free radicals in three different... Read Full Article

I tested this against my usual Alba body lotion and honestly can't say I saw much difference. If money were no option, I'd be perfectly happy to slather myself with the Osmotics, which smells divine and has a very luxurious creamy texture without feeling oily. The scent reminds me of a slightly more floral version of Calvin Klein's Obsession, which is one of my favorite perfumes. So ladies, if you want to treat yourself, I'd say go for it, but don't expect miracles. It does a perfectly decent job, no more, no less.

    Hi Marta
I love the Osmotics age defense body cream and am on my 3rd bottle now. In fact, I got an email recently from the company recommending another of their products that was brand new - LIPOFILL - which is a non surgical filler for puppet lines. I have been looking for something like this forever so have ordered it. Could you do a report on the ingredients and maybe do a test run of it? Many women of my age group are desperate to find a solution to those horrible deep facial lines which are a dead giveaway to age. Many thanks Marta, great website. S x

My skin is looking smoother, but I am not sure that it is a cellulite buster. I have been using it along with Waleda's Birch Cellulite Oil
