100% Pure Wrinkle Smoothing Night Cream 1.6 oz

I am a huge fan of 100% Pure. Its products are truly pure, formulated with many food-grade ingredients. They smell so delicious that you almost want to eat them (you shouldn’t). And since our skin is our largest organ, and what we apply topically does get absorbed into our systems, it feels good to know that there is nothing harmful lurking in the ingredients. I have enjoyed the line’s makeup and skincare for many years, so I was excited to try the brand new anti-aging cream, Vitamin A & Coenzyme Q10 Wrinkle Smoothing Night Cream ($38).

The first ingredient in this powerful little cream is organic rosehip oil. Rosehip oil is extremely high in linolenic acids and vitamin C, which helps improve the skin’s moisture balance. A powerhouse set of ingredients comes next: high concentration of vitamin A (retinyl), vitamin C, alpha lipoic acid and Coenzyme Q10 and organic aloe juice. According to the 100% Pure site, these ingredients “work together to dramatically lessen the appearance of wrinkles, brighten age spots, and increase firmness.”

I did a little bit of research and learned that Coenzyme Q10 is not only a powerful antioxidant, but is also a fat-soluble substance that enhances the energy level of cells. It’s an enzyme that produces energy in cells and although our cells produce it naturally, it starts to deplete after the age of 30. Apparently as Coenzyme 10 depletes cells that start to lose their ability to produce collagen, elastic and other important skin molecules. So it is thought that since CoQ10 is a small molecule that can penetrate fairy easily into skin, applying it topically may help to boost skin repair and regeneration, and reduce free radical damage.

The rest of the ingredients are also pretty impressive (see below). They consist of no nasties and no fillers. In fact, the package says that this product is to be applied only at night because of the high percentage of actives, it’s way too potent for daytime use.

I’ve been using it for several weeks. It has a nice creamy consistency that’s not super rich, with a very subtle scent that doesn’t linger. It feels really nice on my skin. Since I’ve been using it I can say that my skin feels super soft and looks noticeably brighter. And while I’m not sure if my fine lines have lessened, my skin does feel firmer. I think this is a solid anti-aging cream with a great formulation. And according to the brand website it has become its #1 bestselling item… I am not surprised.

Ingredients: Rosa Canina (Organic Rosehip Oil) Seed Extract1, Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Juice) Leaf Juice1, Rosa (Organic Rose Hydrosol) Centifola Flower Water2, Retinol (Vitamin A), Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), Euphoribia Cerifera Cera (Candelilla Wax) Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Ascobyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Alpha Lipoic Acid, Citrus Aurantium Sinensis (Orange) Fiber, Citrus Aurantium (Orange) Dulcis Peel Essential Oil, Lonicera Caprifolium (Japanese Honeysuckle) Extract

I am going to order this and give it a try. I'm curious to see if it helps with redness, with all the rose ingredients, which I have heard it helps with rocasea and overall facial redness. Will update soon.

I am tired of trying so many products that boast that their product will do this/that for your skin! They never seem to work as stated, and lately when I put my makeup on , it shows all the fine lines and small wrinkles... I am a woman in my early 70's, and really have pretty good skin for my age!

I would LOVE to try this pure product.

I have been told I may have a health condition and this makes me wish for more purity in all products and environmental issues.

I am 63, have dryish skin and hope for more firming, less lines, radiance.

    Thank you....

I've been very interested in 100% Pure for some time and that will be a great opportunity to finally try them, as they are not available in Europe. I am in my mid thirties and this cream sound very adapted to my needs.
