Here's a product I picked up in Australia and completely forgot about it until now. A'Kin Unscented 24-hour Pure Moisture (in Australia the brand is called Purist but for distribution reasons in the United States, has a different name). If you remember, I was overwhelmed by the range of all-organic beauty products found on the bite-size country and A'kin was one of my favorites. So I can't believe I neglected to use this product all year!

The beauty of the A'kin Pure Moisture is that it feels like something you should be putting on your face. The product promises "calming, soothing and repairing", all of which are legit, but there are more benefits than that considering all the great ingredients packed in here. It's most beneficial for people with sensitive and allergy prone skin. (So if you're looking for a true anti-wrinkle product, not really here! Just great moisturizing and soothing).

First, I want to mention that all the products (including the Pure Moisture) are 100% natural botanical and vegan, free of sulfates, ethoxylates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrochemicals, silicones, mineral oils and artificial colors.

While it contains great ingredients, I want to point out the highlights. The most active ingredients are shea butter, chamomile and Vitamin B-5, which provide the nourishment the product claims. There's also vipers bugloss oil (omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids) which, if anything, helps with the anti-aging element as it combats wrinkles but still, not a product that I would be for that sole purpose alone. It mostly helps to deeply moisturize. There's also a lot of antioxidant and repairing properties, like Vitamin E (which helps sun damage amongst other activities, like reducing the appearance of scars and just making the skin soft). Parched skin? Thanks, shea butter.

Some of the best oils are involved, including avocado oil. It's one of the most penetrating oils for the skin, helping repair and protect skin. Jojoba oil gives a silky smooth feel with terrific moisturizing properties and helps against skin conditions like acne and exzema.

As a frequent flier, A'kin is going to work wonders for me post long-haul flights (even a daily moisturizer sounds good).
