I recently had the chance to use the Amarte Aqua Veil Hydrator ($65), a deep hydrator that is said to optimize the skin’s ability to retain moisture. It comes in a soft pink container about six inches tall with an accent of metallic gold; an attractive design that’s easy to locate on your vanity. As for me, I am a 49-year-old Caucasian woman with normal skin and a light complexion.

From the first dispense, it was clear that I had a unique product on my hands. The product is creamy but almost gel-like in the way that it spreads. The delightfully fresh scent of cucumbers is immediately evident – the application was cool and refreshing like a cucumber too. I like it for the warm summer weather and after a workout.

The Aqua Veil Hydrator covers nicely and absorbs immediately upon application, which makes it great for applying makeup afterward. Or you can just go makeup free for a bright and refreshed look. I like applying the cream to my neck throughout the day, since it leaves no residue and keeps me feeling refreshed.

The ingredients include arnica extract, which heals cell damage caused by dehydration and environment. Mallow extract delivers gentle hydration and sodium hyaluronate improves moisture retention at the cellular junctions to plump and illuminate your skin. The cucumber and elderberry calm irritation and reduce redness.

Overall, I give this product a thumbs up. I am sure you’ll enjoy how clean your face feels after using this.
