Ideally, we'd all be using mineral sunscreens to avoid the negative effects of potentially toxic chemical sunscreens; but if you've used a mineral sunscreen, you'll know that many leave an unattractive, chalky finish. Not so with Dr. Dennis Gross Dark Spot Sun Defense SPF 50 ($42 in the shop)! Marta demonstrates how the sunscreen goes on clean in this video.

I have not tried this product, but I have tried a slew of other products that are supposed to get rid of dark spots with no results :( I have had laser therapy on my hands for sun spots which lasted several years. I recently just tried another brand which lightened the one I am most wanting to rid myself of (on my chin area), but it did not (again) get rid of it. So, I am fair game to try yet another product!

I have not tried Dr. Dennis Gross Dark Spot Sun Defense SPF 50, but I have tried Dr. Dennis Gross Sheer Mineral Sun Spray, and absolutely loved it! I have very very fair, but unfreckled, Irish skin, and grew up in the days when darker was always better, and laying out in the sun was the "thing to do". As a result, I suffered many very severe sunburns. Once, when skiing in winter on a sunny day, I unintentionally burned my face so badly that I had to go to the hospital the next day. I had 3rd degree blister. So as you can imagine, though I am now older and wiser, I am suffering the consequences of my foolish lack of protection when my skin was young. I have some dark spots on my face and the backs of my hands that I would love to see lightened up a little. I feel I would be an ideal candidate to try the Elena Robin Lighten Up. Thank you so much for your consideration.

I'd love to try this out. I'm very interested in fading my freckles. They're starting to clump and get darker in some spots, so it looks like my mascara has rubbed under my eyes. And unmarked skin looks younger.
