Body scrubs are an essential treatment for rough, dry skin. They can be especially important now in these cold winter months when even my late 20s skin is at its driest. I was happy to sample Arcona Fruit Enzyme Body Scrub ($29), a trusted line in the Truth In Aging community.

Arcona Fruit Enzyme Body Scrub uses the power of both fruit enzymes, in this case cranberry fruit, and physical scrubbers such as white corn kernel meal to slough away dead skins cells. It also includes salicylic acid to purify and cleanse, and peppermint and spearmint oils to calm the skin.

Overall, I really liked the product and the results I got from using it. My only issue was the scent of it, or lack thereof. Taking into account the product's name and pretty pink color, I expected a really lovely cranberry fruit smell, so I was a little surprised when there was no smell to it all.

I used manual hand application when using the Arcona Fruit Enzyme Body Scrub and I liked the way it rinsed clean. There is nothing more annoying than using a body scrub and finding some granules still stuck on your skin after you leave the shower. It also does not leave any sort of oil or film on your skin the way some body scrubs do. The only feeling I did have after rinsing was a fresh sensation on my skin that I can attribute to the peppermint and spearmint oils.

The end result was softer and smoother skin from using this scrub. It will absolutely be added to my cold-weather skin regimen.
