The first thing I noticed about Arcona’s Hydrating Serum ($38) was the short list of ingredients. While many products have 30-plus, this one has just seven and is rather simply formulated, with the primary ingredients being hyaluronic acid and fatty acids. And there are no unnecessary fillers or irritating ingredients (except the essential oil, if your skin is very sensitive). I have normal/dry skin, and this worked nicely for me but someone with dry skin will probably want to use a richer moisturizer on top of the serum.

I love the feel of hyaluronic acid; the serum goes on very smooth without any stickiness — it’s a lightweight gel so there is no risk of clogging pores. It also has amino acids and vitamins from honey and other sources. I must say, I absolutely love the light honey scent that emanates as soon as you apply it. It’s a bonus that this serum gives off a natural aroma rather than those irritating and unnecessary fragrance additives many other companies use. I think this is a good all-purpose serum that would work for any skin type in need of some hydration. The retail price of $38 is reasonable; but at 1 ounce, it won’t last much longer than a month.
