I’m in my late 30s with sensitive, acne-prone skin that also tends to be dehydrated. I love trying face masks since they provide instant oomph, as well as a deep clean feel, so I was excited when asked to test the Arosha Purifying and Regenerating Mask ($40). But to be completely honest, I wasn’t expecting much, as I'm not really a huge fan of sheet masks (which this mask is).
What really piqued my interest was the fact that this is not just a regular sheet mask, rather a pure biocellulose fiber mask. According to the brand, this technology excels at transferring active ingredients and aids in removing surface impurities adeptly. The active ingredients in this formula — sodium hyaluronic, portulaca oleracea stem cells and green algae to name a few — are said to detoxify, moisturize, calm, brighten and stimulate collagen synthesis. There are no harsh or particularly concerning ingredients.
I have used up at least four sheets (one sheet per week) and can confidently say that these masks provide instant gratification in terms of brightening, smoothing and lifting, as well as squeaky-clean skin without the tight, dry feel. Plus, each time I used this mask, my skin most definitely felt firmer! I'm not sure what ingredient in the list imparts this benefit, but I'm guessing it's the portulaca stem cells.
I would suggest wearing this mask for at least 20 minutes to get the maximum benefit. You do not need to rinse off the liquid after removing the mask — just massage what’s left into the skin. It doesn’t feel greasy, sticky and you can follow up with your moisturizer of choice.
I absolutely loved using the Arosha Purifying and Regenerating Mask and look forward to trying their entire range of masks.
