B Kamins Eyelash Fortifier

Is a Solution for:
Eyelashes & Brows

B Kamins Chemist has come up with an Eyelash Fortifier ($90) that is natural and without prostaglandins. That's the simple part. Eyelash Fortifier contains just about everything including the cosmetic kitchen sink and looks a lot like a hair growth product.

Acetyl tryosine is an amino acid that is responsible for melanin in hair and skin. Presumably this is to aid the darkening of the lashes. Arginine is another amino acid with an interesting job. The body uses it to manufacture nitrite oxide, which causes the blood vessels to relax, thereby increasing blood flow. Citrulline does the same thing. Often coupled with arginine is ornithine hcl, an amino acid that stimulates hormones (the combo is favored by body builders).

Amongst the botanicals, there is arctium majus (burdock), which is supposed to be a scalp conditioner. It is also said to be a DHT blocker. DHT is a powerful form of testosterone that could be responsible for hair loss.

There are a handful of vitamin Bs (associated with hair growth, although not easily absorbed), including calcium panthotenate, niacinamide and biotin.

B Kamins Eyelash Fortifier may, by and large, be none the worse for borrowing from hair growth products. However, there are a couple of ingredients that are best left to hair spray manufacturing (such as polyquaternium-11, a film former and hair fixative, and Peg-12 dimethicone, a silicone).

Ingredients in B Kamins Chemist Eyelash Fortifier

Aqua, panax ginseng root extract, arginine, acetyl tryosine, arctium majus root extract, hydrolized soy protein, polyquaternium 11, peg-12 dimethicone, calcium panthotenate, zinc gluconate, niacinamide, ornithine hcl, citrulline, glucosamine hcl, biotin, glycerin, glycoproteins, butylene glycol, ppg-26-buteth-26, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, apigenin, olealonic acid, biotinoyl tripetide-1, acer saccharum, phospholipids, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, ascorbyl palmitate, panthenol, 1-2 hexanediol, capryl glycol, carbomer, glucamine, sodium EDTA.

Apigenin is a bioflavin antioxidant. PPG-26-buteth-26 is a non-irritant alcohol. 1-2 hexanediol is a humectant that may be an irritant. Carbomer is a thickening agent. Acer is maple and olealonic is olive.
