Best Anti-Aging Serums As Voted by You

The Truth In Aging community reviews every product on our site and in our shop, so Marta and team recently decided to survey our top contributors to find out which anti-aging serums get their vote for effectiveness – if they had to choose just one. That’s right, your desert-island anti-aging serums. Read on for your top picks.

AQ Eye Serum ($99 in the shop) got a lot of love from many of you. And it’s no wonder – its powerful growth factors work to visibly lift and firm the eye area. JustD says, “It really does have an impact on the upper and lower areas of the eye and significantly minimizes tiny fine lines. I like that it’s mild and goes on effortlessly cool and makes my eyes feel like they’re taking a fresh breath.” Valerie P. calls it a “wonderful serum.” The true test: She repurchased after her first bottle was used up.

Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum ($34 in the shop) was a hit (no shocker here) because of its stable vitamin C formula – and at that price, you can’t go wrong. Charley tells us, “My skin looked noticeably calmer and healthier while using it. I have very dry skin, but this was surprisingly not drying. It has an excellent ingredients list with nothing to dislike.” AgelessJen adds: “It applies quite nicely, has a lovely consistency and hasn’t caused any irritation on my skin. As far as results, it may be a bit early to see anything really significant, but I have noticed an evening out in my skin tone.”

Osmosis Replenish ($52) is a longtime community favorite; this free-radical scavenger is loaded with antioxidants and contains a Matrixyl-like peptide to help stimulate collagen. “This serum has always been great for my skin, leaving it dewy, fresh and calm,” says Kim. And Becky says, “Osmosis Replenish is a great combo of antioxidants and peptides that brightens and protects my skin.”

Your Best Face Control ($160 in the shop) is another popular pick among our readers who love this peptide-packed serum’s lifting and smoothing effects. Hazel says she witnessed some amazing results: “Fine lines and wrinkles reduced in one week!”

Your Best Face Private Reserve ($75 in the shop) – no surprise to see another YBF product make the list. This multitasking facial oil improves skin elasticity and pampers the senses (vanilla-infused Comfort Blend and citrusy Energy Blend have joined Original Sandalwood). Ki says, “I like YBF Private Reserve for nighttime use: my skin gets some 'dew' factor overnight, and the smell is divine. The bottle lasts a long time, so it makes for a great no-guilt purchase.”

Medik8 Firewall ($145 in the shop) is aptly named as it’s a super antioxidant serum that helps block wrinkle-causing free radicals. Its potent anti-agers include copper peptides, Matrixyl 3000, Liprochroman-6, niacinamide and more. Gunilla is one fan who says: “Medik8 Firewall firms and brightens the skin, and seriously diminishes wrinkles.” A close second for Gunilla is ReLuma Illuminating Serum (from $145 in the shop).

The Organic Pharmacy Rose Plus Marine Collagen Complex ($225) uses heavy-hitting botanicals, sodium hyaluronate and, as the name suggests, marine collagen to smooth wrinkles and stimulate the skin’s connective tissue Cheryl says, “This is non-comedegenic and overall has the best performance with moisturizing and wrinkle reduction. It also works well with all of my other skincare products.”

Osmosis Correct ($56) is a skin resurfacer with retinal at 0.5% – and one of the very few retinol-based products Marta’s sensitive skin can tolerate. And it gets Ann’s vote. “It is gentle enough to use every night and I see genuine results,” she says.

BRAD Biophotonic Essential Elixir ACE + MSM ($95 in the shop) is a multitasker that helps even out skin tone while reducing fine lines. Leslie calls it an “effective exfoliator… [that] nourishes the skin while promoting new [collagen] growth.”

There were several other serums (we’ll call them our runner-ups) that received votes and deserve a shout-out: BRAD Biophotonic Essential Elixir Multi-Peptide ($95); Your Best Face Antioxidants Concentrate ($65 in the shop); Snowberry Soothing Facial Massage Oil ($32); and Skinfinite LOL Eye Serum ($49 in the shop).
