Truth In Aging is built on the power of community. TIA community reviewers test out every product on our site and in our shop, helping us all to become informed shoppers. We decided to survey our top contributors to find out which anti-aging serum — if they had to pick only one — would win their vote for delivering the best skin care benefits. Read on to learn which serums took the lead!

For Evening Out Skin Tone

Arcona Vitamin A Complex ($68)
This powerful serum uses a combination of retinol and glycolic acid to firm skin while reducing hyperpigmentation. Since Annette began using it, she's seen a big difference in her fair complexion. "It does a great job evening out my skin tone," she says, "I am very fair and prone to sun damage, large pores, and rosacea. With regular application, the texture and clarity of my skin is noticeably improved. My skin also feels firmer and smoother."

BRAD Biophotonic Essential Elixir Multi-Peptide ($95)
Rich in amino acids, this light serum reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for skin that glows. It's no wonder this was a Truth In Aging 2013 Five Best with Peptides. Since Denise began using it, she's found her skin looks "firmer, even toned and more radiant."  She raves, "I really feel like I look younger since I adding this product to my skincare routine!"

For Brightening

Medik8 Firewall ($145 in the shop)
With an impressive cocktail of anti-agers, like copper peptides, matrixyl 3000, liprochroman-6 and niacinamide, the Medik8 Firewall has been the cause for plenty of gushing. "It really makes a visual difference (not to mention how it feels!)" says Gunilla. "After 4 to 6 weeks, the skin is visibly brighter and tighter, and both wrinkles and sagging are diminished."

Sciote Illume Brightening Serum ($95 in the shop) Sciote tackles anti-aging from all angles with this multi-tasking serum. Kojic, glycolic and salicylic acids work to diminish hyperpigmentation, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles while stimulating cell turnover for skin that glows. Francine is one of its biggest fans. "Sciote tops the list," she says. "It did everything it promised. My skin looked and felt great. Received lots of compliments. Helped with fine lines. Lightened a stubborn and prominent dark spot. Highly recommend this product."

For Wrinkles and Fine Lines

ReLuma Skin Illuminating Serum ($145/20ml)
ReLuma uses growth factors to stimulate cells and encourage the production of new collagen. Julie says, "Reluma works on the deeply embedded lines on my forehead and the ever-growing marionette lines from lips to jaw."

Michael Todd Knu Anti-Aging Face Lift Serum ($150)
This serum got a lot of love from our community! And with it's powerful formula, all the praise is well-deserved. This concentrated serum is formulated with matrixyl 3000, syn-coll, epidermal growth factors, DMAE, alpha hydroxy acid, peptides, arbutin and L-arginine, working to correct existing damage while protecting skin against future damage. Terri finds that her whole face is "instantly tightened, firmed and smoothed."  She says, "The benefits last throughout twelve hour shifts at the hospital."

Noel proclaims that her face is "much less dry, the texture is so much smoother and softer, feels plumper with fewer visible fine lines (this may be in part because it is less dry), and the breakouts have been reduced to an occasional tiny pimple that heals quickly." She says "The old redness and dark spots from past breakouts are slowly healing/fading. There has been such an improvement in my skin that a couple of girls at work even asked me what I was doing differently."

Kimberly found that after using Michael Todd's serum for over six months, her wrinkles are less visible with her fine lines almost completely gone. "I see the most change in my neck," she says. "The horizontal lines are lessened and not red any longer. The turkey neck I was developing has noticeably improved." Kelly finds the serum to be a great value, insisting that it's helping her "hold back time with its incredible ingredient mix."

AQ Skin Solutions Active Serum ($149 in the shop)
AQ's Active Serum is comprised of a concentrated blend of the same growth factor proteins that are found in young, healthy skin, along with antioxidant vitamins for increased collagen production. Erica wasn't shy about declaring her love for this serum. "When I use it regularly, I see an overall improvement in my skin," she says. "It tackles wrinkles, sagging and discoloration. It's non-irritating, absorbs quickly and works great under face cream, sunscreen or makeup."

Valerie casts another vote for AQ Skin Solutions, saying "This serum has always delivered as a wonderful wrinkle reducer. I have used it on and off over the last few years. Each time I start using it again, I wonder why I stopped in the first place."

For Firming

Hyalogic Episilk Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($59.95)
This lightweight serum hydrates deeply without feeling oily on the skin. Imelda finds that it 'really hydrates and promotes collagen production."

MitoQ Moisturizing Anti-Aging Serum ($119 in the shop)
A new addition to the Truth In Aging shop, this smart serum targets the mitochondria to support healthy cell function. Naheed was truly impressed by the results she saw. "It does what it claims," she says. "I have more radiant skin. It feels firmer and overall healthy. My skin on my neck especially has improved a lot. It is smoother and tighter. I love this serum."

For All-Around Radiance

Medik8 CE-Tetra ($115 in the shop)
Tina chose Medik8 CE-Tetra "because it really gives my skin extra radiance and a glow. I love the way it feels on my skin and it goes on so smoothly under makeup. My skin just looks and feels younger!"

Mare feels the same, declaring the Medik8 CE-Tetra to be her favorite serum. "My skin felt smoother, the pores looked smaller, and there was a subtle lifting effect within the first two weeks of using it," she says.

La Vie Celeste Eclairage Restorative Serum ($98.50 in the shop)
This multi-tasker improves skin with a combination of antioxidants and skin brighteners, like lilac leaf cells culture extract and licorice. Beta glucan helps to hydrate, calm and protect skin, giving it that youthful glow. Ann reports, "I liked the La Vie Celeste serum. My skin was brighter, more hydrated and fresh looking."
