As autumn is in full swing and the leaves change color, our skin is also changing. With the crisper weather, skin becomes dryer. We decided to survey our top contributors to find out which moisturizers get their vote for effectiveness. Read on for the top picks that protect the skin in colder weather.

Prana Reflect Antioxidant Skin Cream SPF 45 ($39 in the shop) Becky loves that Reflect "has a silky feel, great smell, sun protection from good ingredients, is a good value, works well under makeup."

Royal Nectar Moisturizing Face Lift with Bee Venom ($55) Mark finds himself going back to Royal Nectar "because it keeps my skin hydrated/moisturized without breaking me out, plumps and maintains good skin tone. I also like that it absorbs really well and leaves my skin with a matte appearance and doesn't contribute to oiliness."Gunilla adds, "Royal Nectar Moisturising Face Lift with Bee Venom. This is a moisturiser with a sting! (sorry, I couldn't resist it) It keeps my face beautifully moisturised and my face feels like it's protected all day long. Furthermore, my skin feels simultaneously soft, smooth AND tightened. I really recommend it for all mature faces."

Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen and Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($45 in the shop) Denise says, "Suntegrity Face and Primer is my favorite. Since I live in California and am outside most of the year, I always look for a moisturizer with good sunscreen protection. I find Suntegrity to be very moisturizing, but doesn't irritate my sensitive skin in the least. It feels great going on and I know I am doing something really good for my skin. Also, as a primer, it makes a great base for my make-up. This is the one moisturizer with sunscreen that I have tried where my skin looks and feels better when using it!,"

Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Firming Elasticity Repair ($58) "Osmosis's blue copper is a thicker cream I user at night. I feel the results in the morning.," says Kathy.

Your Best Face Boost ($65 in the shop) "YBF Boost is light, absorbs thoroughly and works well over serums," says Erica. Miree adds, "YBF Boost. Simple - it works!"

BRAD Biophotonic Ultra Elastin Sculpting Firming Cream Complex ($195) Gloria says, "It seemed to actually lift and smooth the skin. The texture and firmness seemed to last all day and my makeup went on so much better. My face was very hydrated."

La Vie Celeste Restorative Day and Night Cream ($65) "I like that it's a single product for day and night use; its texture is just right ... not too heavy, not too greasy, but simultaneously feels like it's actually doing something; didn't cause break-outs; just left my face calm, hydrated, plumped-up, fresh and pretty," says Susan.

M.A.D Skincare Illuminating Daily Moisturizer Valerie feels "It is a nice light cream moisturizer and seemed to help keep the hyper pigmentation under control on my decollete."

Michael Todd True Organics Damascus Rose Cream  ($89) Ann says, "I use it at night. It is a complexion brightener, hyperpigmentation fader, skin lifter and wrinkle reducer along with being a moisturizer."

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream ($39) "is such a multitasker! It hydrates, has chemical free SPF 30, loaded with antioxidants, and smoothes out fine lines around the eye area. I never plan to be without this for the AM. A little of the cream goes along way. I just purchased my second tube! The SPF protection is much better than I anticipated. However, the way it enhances my skin, I would use even if to prepare for an evening out. I don't use a great deal of makeup no matter the occaision. This Juice Beauty product is top of my list!" says Terri.

Sevani Rapid Renewal Resurfacing Creme ($68) Sophie says "the ingredient list is devoid of any nasties and it smells and feels wonderful. I also like that it is exfoliating."

Me & the Girls Bar Beleza Multi-Use Beauty Bar ($40) Cindy loves "that it is a super emollient multi-use product, that can be diluted with water for a lighter application, or used without dilution for extra moisturizing. It is super convenient, as it comes in a great twist up tube. I also love that it is made in the USA, by a small company that is eco-friendly, only uses top grade ingredients, uses no toxic chemicals, preservatives, and does not test on animals."
