I've tried dozens of shampoos and conditioners for my hair, and although they do work, I am still on the lookout for a good product that will help me maintain my hair. I'm in my 30s, and I'm quite low maintenance with my hair, which means I just cut it every six to eight weeks; I don't go for color or monthly treatments, and sometimes I even skip conditioner. The problem with silicone-based conditioners is that they can weigh my hair down, and there is significant build up after long term use, which makes my hair limp.
I tested the Briogeo Blossom and Bloom Volumizing Conditioner ($23 in the shop), and I must say that, hands down, it's the best conditioner I have ever tried! It gives the right amount of volume, shine and softness to my hair. I have rather thick, oily hair that can sometimes be dry and frizzy due to exposure to heat and the elements, and I find conditioner can make my hair greasy and limp. Not so with Briogeo; it has the right amount of moisture that is non-sticky, it works quickly in that I don't need to leave it in my hair, and it rinses easily. I am left with moisture that seems to penetrate deeply into my strands.
I also love the tropical fragrance, which lasts me the whole day! Even though I have thick hair, I find that it works quite well with the natural volume that I have. It is pretty gentle, as well, and I didn't experience a lot of hair shedding while I was using this.
