Derm Exclusive Fill & Freeze reviewed and rejected

Matrixyl 3000 and two other peptides

Silicones and toxic preservatives
The good is outweighed the bad - a pass

You may have seen the infommercials with Minnie Driver, the British actress and singer, for the doctor-backed (actually, not just any old doctor but one with a center stage seat on The Doctors) Derm Exclusive line. And if so, your curiosity may have been piqued. Not enough I hope to sign up for the monthly automatic renewal program of $50 a month without doing some homework. I took a look and all I can say is Minnie, this is major!

As in majorly mediocre. Let’s look at Fill & Freeze “the anti-aging treatment that works right before your eyes.” One of the best things about it is that (unlike Derm Exclusive’s Intensive Repair Serum) it doesn’t kick off with sodium hydroxide, a pH balancer about which the CDC says: “Skin contact with sodium hydroxide can cause severe burns with deep ulcerations.” There is plenty of silicone, as well as polymers that are formulated to behave like silicone. There are almost 10 of them.

Now I don’t want to sound (to coin a favorite phrase of Margaret Thatcher) like a Moaning Minnie. There are a few things that Derm Exclusive’s Dr. Andrew Ordon has added to his formula that are perfectly respectable. There’s vitamin C and several peptides, including Matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl oligopeptide and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7) and the expression line inhibitor acetyl hexapeptide-8, plus a hibiscus extract, which performs the same function. There’s also the anti-inflammatory glucosamine HCI and a skin lightener called diacetyl boldine.

Unfortunately, the good is overshadowed by the abundance of aforementioned silicone and the toxic preservatives chlorpenesin and phenoxyethanol.

Minnie has just been cast as a vegan mom in an NBC series. Here’s to hoping her inner vegan will be attracted to more natural, plant-based potions and lotions.

I started using DermExclusive about 3 years ago. I was attracted by the "Fill and Freeze" come-on. I am in my 60's and was experiencing some crow's feet and dry skin. I quickly learned that the FnF did not live up to the fact, I had issues with my skin breaking out near my eyes. Their other eye cream did the same thing.
However, I was pleased with the cleanser, two stage collagen treatment and the exfoliating pads. I gave up on the day moisturizer as it was not "rich" enough and did not have enough UV protection and they did not have a night cream.
My biggest problem was that the ordering process was through an outfit called "Beach Body" and the operators and their system of retaining customer information were woefully inadequate. My issues were compounded by the fact that I wintered in Florida and summered in North Carolina. After too many orders being sent to the wrong place, even after I took great pains to keep them straight, I gave up on the whole process. I would continue to use some of the products but do not want to have the ordering hassles. I am now in the market for replacement products but don't want to spend a fortune.

I think dr. orden should be put in prison for this scam. And have all his attributes confiscated and returned to the customers.

I'm 79 and blessed to have just small wrinkles at my eye corners. It works really well on those with just a dab as directed. My forehead is beginning to wrinkle more and it also works there. I believe the secret is use just a dab. I won't sign up for any automatic shipping and charges so plan to give the Walgreens stuff a try.

Fill and freeze is a joke and is a rip off. It does not work. The other day on the Doctors they showed methods that do not work and just take your money. thsi should have been on dr. Ordens show. It is so untrue and a lie and totally false and we are taking this and Dr. Orden to the attorney general in the state of California. He has a office here in Palm Desert California and for taking advantage of people that do not have a lot of money, like myself. I wound up having to pay over two hundred dollars and please do not buy this product.
