Derm Exclusive Fill & Freeze

Silicones and toxic preservatives

The good is outweighed the bad - a pass

You may have seen the infommercials with Minnie Driver, the British actress and singer, for the doctor-backed (actually, not just any old doctor but one with a center stage seat on The Doctors) Derm Exclusive line. And if so, your curiosity may have been piqued. Not enough I hope to sign up for the monthly automatic renewal program of $50 a month without doing some homework. I took a look and all I can say is Minnie, this is major!

As in majorly mediocre. Let’s look at Fill & Freeze “the anti-aging treatment that works right before your eyes.” One of the best things about it is that (unlike Derm Exclusive’s Intensive Repair Serum) it doesn’t kick off with sodium hydroxide, a pH balancer about which the CDC says: “Skin contact with sodium hydroxide can cause severe burns with deep ulcerations.” There is plenty of silicone, as well as polymers that are formulated to behave like silicone. There are almost 10 of them.

Now I don’t want to sound (to coin a favorite phrase of Margaret Thatcher) like a Moaning Minnie. There are a few things that Derm Exclusive’s Dr. Andrew Ordon has added to his formula that are perfectly respectable. There’s vitamin C and several peptides, including Matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl oligopeptide and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7) and the expression line inhibitor acetyl hexapeptide-8, plus a hibiscus extract, which performs the same function. There’s also the anti-inflammatory glucosamine HCI and a skin lightener called diacetyl boldine.

Unfortunately, the good is overshadowed by the abundance of aforementioned silicone and the toxic preservatives chlorpenesin and phenoxyethanol.

Minnie has just been cast as a vegan mom in an NBC series. Here’s to hoping her inner vegan will be attracted to more natural, plant-based potions and lotions.

I started using DermExclusive about 3 years ago. I was attracted by the "Fill and Freeze" come-on. I am in my 60's and was experiencing some crow's feet and dry skin. I quickly learned that the FnF did not live up to the hype..in fact, I had issues with my skin breaking out near my eyes. Their other eye cream did the same thing.
However, I was pleased with the cleanser, two stage collagen treatment and the exfoliating pads. I gave up on the day moisturizer as it was not "rich" enough and did not have enough UV protection and they did not have a night cream.
My biggest problem was that the ordering process was through an outfit called "Beach Body" and the operators and their system of retaining customer information were woefully inadequate. My issues were compounded by the fact that I wintered in Florida and summered in North Carolina. After too many orders being sent to the wrong place, even after I took great pains to keep them straight, I gave up on the whole process. I would continue to use some of the products but do not want to have the ordering hassles. I am now in the market for replacement products but don't want to spend a fortune.

I think dr. orden should be put in prison for this scam. And have all his attributes confiscated and returned to the customers.

I'm 79 and blessed to have just small wrinkles at my eye corners. It works really well on those with just a dab as directed. My forehead is beginning to wrinkle more and it also works there. I believe the secret is use just a dab. I won't sign up for any automatic shipping and charges so plan to give the Walgreens stuff a try.

Fill and freeze is a joke and is a rip off. It does not work. The other day on the Doctors they showed methods that do not work and just take your money. thsi should have been on dr. Ordens show. It is so untrue and a lie and totally false and we are taking this and Dr. Orden to the attorney general in the state of California. He has a office here in Palm Desert California and for taking advantage of people that do not have a lot of money, like myself. I wound up having to pay over two hundred dollars and please do not buy this product.

I, probably like many other people ordered this fill and freeze because of the glowing statements by Dr. Ordon on his commercials. I only know of him because I see him on the daily show The Doctors. I figured if this well known Plastic Surgeon tells us how wonderful it is, then it must be so. I received my first order with not one but two Fill and Freeze tubes. Wow! lucky me. They were a joke, the tubes were so small, I know the two of them would not have lasted a week let alone a month. I called the customer service immediately after I saw what it was, cancelled any subscription that was in the future and really angry at this Dr. for all of this false hype and now I have to pay freakin' more money to mail it back...

The first review I read about this product was on a different web site. The person who wrote it said " Dr. Ordon should be ashamed of himself ". That really touched me. I am passing it along to every web site I see that advertises and / or reviews his products. A person in his position who preys on those who trust him should be ashamed of himself and should not profit from their misery. Does he need the money that bad that he has to con it out of people that many do not have to waste ?
I have not tried his product, but I have read hundreds of reviews from distressed women most of whom were not well to do. Many of them have spent money they admit should have been spent on more important things but were sure it would work. Mostly because Dr. Ordon is a respectable plastic surgeon and can be seen on tv with other respectable doctors who spend many hours giving advice and trying to help people. Shame on you Dr. Ordon.

Well, I really thought this was a true fix for the wrinkles around my eyes and forehead. Unfortunately, I have not received my product and have charged my credit card. They plan to charge it two more times for the next two months. This is really a shame... Their customer service is lacking.

I have gotten Botox in the past and was very pleased with the results, but they faded after a a couple months. I was apprehensive about ordering but did it anyway. Let me tell you, I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID!!! THIS STUFF IS GREAT, and does not fade away like the Botox!! I just wish that they had a cream specifically for my eyes. All these people obviously aren't using the product as directed. It says right on the bottle for the fill & freeze to only use a little of the product, that is why only a little bit comes out...DUH! They are trying to help people who are "over users" like myself:)
I am absolutely blown away by by the results and what I'm reading makes me sick..maybe it works differently on different skin types..but I seriously doubt that! Golden in my book as well! I seriously RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE TRYING TO DECIDE ON WHETHER OR NOT TO ORDER THE PRODUCT 150%!

I was a freelance photographer for 20 years and I used an editing program to remove and smooth out lines and wrinkles from peoples faces on the photos I took. When I saw the before and after photos of faces they show on the products TV commercial-in my opinion, the after photos looked edited. Just saying.

They do not stand by their 100% satisfaction guarantee!
This may have been a great product, however the packaging is terrible and their customer service is even worse! The fill and freeze was shipped with a defective package and I wasn't able to get it out of the tube. I calling and emailing their customer service asking for a new tube, but they won't stand by their product. They continue to say that they are sorry but they can't replace it, but I can buy more. Why on earth would I want to buy another shipment of their extremely expensive product and chance that I can't get it out of the tube. No Thank You!!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend"

Because I figured that this product was legitimate as it was promoted by a prominent plastic surgeon on the television show called the doctors I decided to take a chance on it. I called and got on the phone with a very friendly gentleman who supposed to leave was supposed to be scripted and everything that he said to me but this was far from the case. He bantered with me for quite some time and ended up selling me at least two or three other products at low prices along with the original order. There is never any mention of any other orders being shipped out and there was never any mention that this is a3 month supply for which every month I would be billed. I never received even the first order even though the company says that it was delivered and I most definitely did not receive the other two packages that were shipped out the following two months, and actually when I called customer service they admitted that those last two packages had not been mailed. Long story short, I will never know whether this product works or not because I would never take the risk of having my bank account debited unbenounced to me and my authorization. And as far as the feeling freeze product is concerned, I have used the product long ago years ago that was very similar and did pretty much the same thing as I'm guessing that this product does. If you don't move it does still in the wrinkles but eventually it cracks and dissolves and I was not pleased with the result. Perhaps fill and freeze does a little better job but I'm guessing it's all the same idea. If I am on disability the fact that these items were debited out of my account with little room for any extra debit, my rent check was returned for non sufficient funds and I am humiliated. The non sufficient funds that accumulated make it even more difficult for me to catch up financially. So I recommend that anyone who doesn't have a lot of disposable income not purchase this product or at least make sure that you know what you're getting into.

Well, I don't know why these products are not loved b some people. I absolutely love them! I've been using these for three years and I'm afraid to try anything else. Nothing else works as good. If I go a day without these products my skin goes right back to being dull and uneven, plus my wrinkles have almost disappeared an no new ones have formed. For those of you who won't give this stuff a chance, all I can say is "Your Loss"!

I just returned my auto-ship order from Derm Exclusive. The advertisement displays two tubes of fill n freeze; not the tiny purse size Beachbody shipped to me. I called Beachbody to question the small tube of fill n freeze and was told "that is the size you get". The representative then introduced collagen supplements and wanted to enroll me in the monthly expense of vitamin supplements. I mentioned three times that I could not afford any more expenses because I was on a fixed income; no, no, no. Apparently, the rep. did not understand "no" because I received a bottle of the supplements and three more the following month. I contacted customer support and was told to open the box and use the return label. There was no return label and I was given the wrong zip code and made a second trip to the post office. This return for a product I clearly did not want and couldn't afford cost me $8 to mail back. Let's see if I get my refund. I think the reps. at Beachbody are crooks and they give Dr. Ordon a bad reputation. He needs to know this. Never again will I do business with Beachbody.

Not at all satisfied with these products. I called to cancel and get a return on my money. Fill and Freeze was a complete hoax. When talking to the customer service he wanted me to try it for another month. I worry about any company that leads you into thinking that you would receive two tubes of fill n freeze only to get a dinky extra tube. Fill n Freeze turns white on my face and flakes off. I told customer service that I hated fill n freeze and several days later I received another tube! I did not ask for more since I did not like the original tube. Do not purchase these products! Misleading in every way.

deep wrinkles around my mouth and lips area, and an almost burning sensation on my lower cheeks, that looks like stretch marks almost. This all happened within one year !!!! I have a blockage in the arteries in my neck, that go to my brain and my face, that regulate the blood flow. It's 68%, but my vascular Dr. Will not do surgery until it's 70%. He says it's the Obama Law, and I have to wait..... Also, I lost almost 50 lbs. which I'm glad of this, but know this added to the rapid wrinkling as well. Thinking about this product ladies..... I'm 61. Any advice would be welcome, as my make-up table looks like a dept. store cosmetic counter.... Feeling so embarrassed and don't want to be seen...:(

Firstly, I wil be 70 in a couple weeks so I don't expect miracles. The products seem to be ok except for the Freeze and Fill. The packaging is so stingy that I have to literally stand on the tube to get ANY to come out the dispenser tip. At any price, you should be able to access the product.

The Derm products have worked for me, although I didn't like the auto shipping which was why I canceled it. Since Dr. Ordon appears on The Doctors, I gave the package a try.

My skin was very lifeless looking during the harsh winter. I used the different products in the order it recommended. Understanding that there is no miracle cure for aging, we have to realize these products can only go so far. If your skin has sun damage and really deep wrinkled skin it's not going to rescue your skin 100%.

I don't have deep wrinkles and sun damaged skin. At 61 years old, I expected no miracles. What I discovered is that the Fill & Freeze did help where there were crow's feet starting to form. The tube it came in was very difficult to squeeze out. I had to lay it on the counter and press down to catch the cream coming out.

Despite that, my skin is smoother. I have been using the products since March 2015. It's now July. The facial cleanser and Microderm pads come in handy with the hot and humid weather.

I am not fooled... just only fooled myself into believing this might work, knowing in my heart it wouldn't. This Dr. O (whatever his namesake) is so fake looking to me. Why did I think he could or would want to help a poor Georgia girl! Change your bank numbers and kiss this goodbye!!!!!!!!!!

I used this product for 2 weeks and, yes, I did notice a difference. My skin is already dry but it became drier and the wrinkles more pronounced. I've tried every anti-aging product on the market and I sincerely do not think that there's anything that will reverse wrinkles except Retinol and a laser treatment. Just make sure your skin is well moisturized and all the makeup is removed before going to bed. It will make a big difference in your skin. Everyone wants to make a buck on anti-aging and maybe, just maybe, someday this will happen. It's not be proven to me yet.

Aging is part of life, let's do it gracefully and use gentle ingredients on our skins. I was looking online for some natural product that would be nourishing and not have all those chemical ingredients you find on all products in retail store, including the one mentioned by others above, I came across this place where they give you home recipes that are so easy to make and so efficient and honestly, I have seen better results than any of the expensive products I have ever tried. So here is one i use for a night serum/moisturiser. 1. Miniature glass jar from the dollar store. 2. One teaspoon of organic coconut oil. 3. Half a teaspoon pure vitamin e oil. 4. Three drops of pure lavender essential oil. Mixed well and I have been using for the past few weeks and it is amazing! It helps you sleep well too because lavender is known for it's calming effect.

    BEWARE -BEWARE
    I BOUGHT THE DERM EXCLUSIVE
I HAVE TRIED SO MANY THINGS NONE OF THEM HAVE WORK
    EXCEPT PROACTIVE
I ALWAYS SAY I NOT GOING TO TRY ANYTHING ELSE
BUT SINCE HE WAS ON THE SHOW THE DOCTORS
I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A TRY
FIRST OF ALL THEY SAY THEY GIVE YOU A EXTRA TUBE
THE EXTRA TUBE LOOKS LIKE A TINY SAMPLE TUBE
I WAS ON ABLE TO USE THE FILL AND FREEZE MAYBE ABOUT 5 DAYS
AND IT IS VERY HARD TO GET IT OUT OF THE TUBE
AND AFTER 5 DAYS THAN YOU CAN NOT GET ANY MORE OUT
I THINK THE TUBE WAS EMPTY
    THAT WAS A RIP OFF
I SENT IT BACK FOR A REFUND

Before I buy a product on the internet I pull up complaints for that specific product. I'm glad I do that because it has saved me a lot of money because I don't buy the product. I believe everything people write about the product and they wouldn't lie. Especially about having a hard time getting their money back and being billed numerous times.. That's a headache in itself. Thank you very much for the information.

If people want to say mean and rude things about this doctor and or any doctor for that matter then maybe you shouldn't be on here these doctors are trying to find preventives that are more affordable for those who can't afford the actual cost of botox and fillers but it's their job to find more practical ways instead of going for that needle cause some people don't want to be stuck in face and or lips with a needle. .

I purchased this and I have truly seen a difference and my husband has noticed the difference too! The fill and freeze tube is really little but if you only use a little (just like the instructions say) it does go a long way. I've noticed a lot of people complaining about the size of the tube but I will say if you do need it all over your face then this product isn't for you-you should probably do botox. It hasn't totally gotten rid of my wrinkles but there is a huge improvement and I've been using this faithfully for almost a month now.

Have not bought the product. Just saw a commercial with supposed 'before' and 'after' photos. Oh my god, it doesn't take an expert to see that the photos are retouched. I must question Denni M's comment as being someone on the Derm staff. Her comment need to figure how to reorder is misleading as this is an automatic refill subscription that is difficult to cancel.

The ingredients list is way over the top with words we cannot pronounce, much less know exactly what most mean. I am 67 and have been blessed with great skin. I use few products and the less ingredients, the better. I was not looking to buy this. I wanted to see how many scary ingredients are in it. Its cost - Ouch. I agree with Barb - shame on people who try to dupe others into thinking their product is the best thing ever. Do the math and figure what a pint costs, then a gallon.... people complain about the price of fuel, think in terms of cost per year for a product that cannot actually change the skin. Key Words: "If a product sounds too good to be true - it probably is!" 2nd Set of Key Words: 'With age comes an inner beauty. With age comes our wrinkles which is a natural process. Embrace these & own them! Some of the most beautiful ladies I know have never used any fancy products on their skin. Women need to embrace each decade, acept how they look and be blessed we have lived as long as we have. Life is milestones. Youth does not come in a bottle."

I purchased the product and enjoyed the outcome. I followed the order of application, and saw the difference. Not only did I see the difference but my husband, and my friends. I never told anyone about my purchase because I wanted to see if anyone would genuinely notice "younger skin"... and they did! I love the collagen probably mostly. I know it should probably be the fill n freeze, but I love the collagen! The fill n freeze is awesome! It truly is magic in a tube. I'm so happy I ordered DermExclusive, now I need to figure how to reorder=) I recommend DE to my family and friends 100%.... Golden in my book!!!

For two weeks I used the product exactly as directed on ONE SIDE OF MY FACE. At the end of the two weeks, I asked people which side I'd used it on… they were not sure… I had used nothing on the other side of my face except $ Store lotion to cleanse at night. I'd never spent so much time prepping and creaming my face. My skin was soft, but not noticeable softer than my other side. I am 74 years old, and that much attention to cleansing, creaming, smoothing, and touching up should have made a noticeable difference. It didn't. I was determined to know that it made a distinct difference and the test proved that it didn't. I could have used Dollar Store stuff and gotten just as good results. Shame on the Doctor! He should have done side-by-side tests. I believed what I saw on the show, but I was determined to test it. Shame, shame, shame! Save your money, by $Store lotions and give your skin the same attention, you'll have same results.

While I understand that all skin is different and I am sure there are some that will not experience it, I did and my eyes were swollen and red. I called to let them know to cancel and about the issue. It has taken me repeated calls to them, to my credit card company, they will continue to ship product even after you cancel. They were even able to somehow chg my card (without sending product) even though my credit card company put a block on them. It is a big scam and I am so surprised that the Dr's TV show would even put their name on it. I would never trust what Dr Ordin says again, it is for $$$'s in their pockets! Not to mention that I only opened one product and sent the rest back unopened. You will also incur chg's to send product back and I am already out 20.00 plus. I would advise anyone thinking about ordering this product, to re-think it. It is a crock.
