I just finished using the Dermagenics Purifying Smart Cleanser, as I had to put my trial on hold due to some major health issues (great timing for my first evaluation, right?)

The wash in NO WAY stripped my skin of moisture or gave me any blemishes as so many cleansers can on my skin with a sudden product change (and age/skin type change).  Now that I am 40 my skin has decreased the amount of sebum it once produced and I now find myself moving from the 'normal/combination' products to the 'normal/dry' spectrum of moisturizers. But I find face washes for 'normal/dry' skin to be too rich, as they are usually creme based and not gels...this Dermagenics wash seems to do well with both men's skin types though.

I would have really enjoyed seeing more (or any) active naturals within the product...besides the token drop of lavender.

After a week or two I found myself using my Derma e Vitamin A Glycolic Toner...I don't know, I just had a feeling I NEEDED to add something...needed a gentle exfoliation that the Dermagenics wash did not seem to have (maybe they put something to tackle that issue within the men's anti-aging moisturizer in the Dermagenics product line).  Maybe I started using the toner out of habit and to get some vitamins into my skin after washing.

I would DEFINITELY use this product again if I had the other Dermagenics product(s) that go with it.  Would I buy it JUST because I needed a face-wash?  No.  In the end, it was 'just' a very basic face wash...but sometimes it's good to take a break from a wash with all the bells and whistles before the next product line comes into town.  It makes it easier to evaluate how well the old product worked...and then it’s easier to see any (if any) benefits from the new products we all enjoy trying in our quest for ageless beauty.

In full disclosure I used the face wash with Derma e Vitamin A Glycolic Toner, Korres Wild Rose Serum and Korres Wild Rose 24 Hour Moisturizer and Brightening Cream – and last but not least, Nuxe Anti-Aging Eye Cream.

I started using smart skincare when I was 13.  My formative years were spent working in a department store (RIGHT NEXT TO THE LANCOME COUNTER)!  It was at that moment I knew I born a product whore! Yes...I am a male product whore AND PROUD OF IT!  And now I think this male product whore needs to start looking into peptides.  My illness made my young looking skin look older.  Cosmeticians said my skin quality is similar to a man in his early 30's.  Now my 40-year-old skin is looking aged beyond recognition in my forehead area all within a few short, very short months.

I REALLY enjoy having the opportunity to learn and try new things and when I find product that I like I love to tell the world!!!!
