DesertPea Skin Bright Serum ($59.90) is the first product I’ve used from the DesertPea line. I was initially interested in this product because I have somewhat sensitive skin that is occasionally acne prone, displays some redness, and is showing signs of aging (I’m 35). The list of ingredients used in the product suit all these skin types.
The following explains my current routine and how I incorporated the serum: First, I use Fresh Soy Face Cleanser to cleanse my skin. To tone and exfoliate, I use First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. According to instructions, I applied the Skin Bright Serum after toning (it can be used twice daily). Then, I apply either the Algenist Firming and Lifting Cream for the day or the Dr. Brandt D.N.A. at night along with Lancome Renergie Lift Multi-Action Eye.
I found the Skin Bright Serum to be a very gentle, non-abrasive type of exfoliating serum. After four weeks of use, I have found this product has not only helped clear my pores and improve the texture of my skin, but it has also improved the appearance of discoloration including redness and brown spots. Although I haven’t experienced a noticeable improvement of fine lines, wrinkles or laxity at this time (I have only used this serum for four weeks), I feel that this is a great serum for those with problem and sensitive skin who are looking for a gentle serum to add to their regimen.
The scent of this product is very light, almost unnoticeable. I find this to be a benefit, especially when layering multiple products. The only downside I have found is in the packaging. The pump on the bottle makes it hard to dispense a small amount, especially if you only want to spot treat problem areas. However, I do find it dispenses just the right amount for application to the face, neck, and even décolleté.
I recommend DesertPea Skin Bright Serum if you are looking for a multi-tasking serum that is gentle on the skin.
