Recommended for sun-damaged, melasma-prone skin

I am a 50+ years old woman with light to medium, combination skin with a slight sensitivity to some ingredients and fragrances.

I have sun damage in the form of dark spots on my cheeks as well as some melasma, which is hormone related. Despite my three decades’ use of retinol, these stubborn dark spots won’t go away. They were my worst facial problem until two weeks into my use of the Eslor Brightening Activator Serum ($110). This serum is light and absorbs well. I adore its smell, which is close to sweet, fresh oranges (if you don’t like scents, don’t worry, it quickly fades). I am glad to say that I encountered absolutely NO irritation from this product.

I used it faithfully twice daily, and a little does a long way. I started noticing a slight reduction in my dark spots and melasma within a week of use. At two weeks, they were becoming nearly invisible, especially when layered with a very lightweight BB cream. So I tried it on my chest, which has the worst sun damage from years of working outdoors. I am thrilled to add that it worked on my chest as well, although not to the same degree. I suspect the dark spots on my chest are worse than on my face. I’ll keep applying this serum to my chest with hopes of gaining the same results that I received on my face.

I was forced to stop using the Brightening Activator Serum for a week, and the only thing that seemed to get a little worse was the melasma, and that I believe is due to my Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), which I will eventually stop.

Overall, this product goes on sort of shiny, but it is not heavy and will sink in completely within minutes so the shininess will go away completely. I have even used it under my makeup on a few hot humid days as a treatment and makeup prep. I am glad to say that my makeup went on and stayed on beautifully. I can also go makeup free now without first having to add concealer over the sun spots and melasma.

For me, this product worked, and it did not irritate my skin. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and purchase it after I am finished with my sample. Give it a try girls, it is gentle but effective on those dark facial spots from sun overexposure.
