Eyedews- Yes I do

Is a Solution for:
Sagging Skin, Puffy Eyes

So thanks to the world of Twitter and Jenny McCarthy, I became aware of a new product called Eyedews. What are Eyedews?  Well, they are single-use “nutrient rich jelly pads of Natural Marine Collagen Infused with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins C & E and Co-Q10 to combat free radical imbalance, sun damage, discoloration, dry skin and wrinkles in the troubled skin under your eyes”. Jana, at Eyedews, was kind enough to send some samples for me to try. I have to say I really enjoy them!

I’ve tested them over the last few weeks mostly due to the fact that my husband has been fighting a cold (which means more snoring at night than normal-UGH!). Because of this, I wake up quite tired each day. After each Eyedews ($30 for six pairs) use, I’ve noticed that the fine lines around my eyes plumped up and filled in quite a bit and the skin felt smooth and tighter. Additionally, I found the 15-20 minutes that I used them to be relaxing and soothing yet really refreshing at the same time. You do have to relax while using them so that means lying down with your head back for 15-20 minutes. One neat trick is to store them in the refrigerator (not the freezer) so that they are chilled for use.

The folks at Eyedews feel that their product is the answer to the tired, fatigued stressed-out look we want to avoid, in addition to the occasional morning-after hangover disaster. The product’s main purpose is fights bags, puffiness and fine lines.  With key ingredients such as kelp-harvested plant Collagen (to smooth and plump skin) as well as important anti-agers, L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), tocopherol (vitamin E) and ubiquinone (Co-Q10), it seems you can’t go wrong. One interesting ingredient is chitosan.  Eyedews claims chitosan is “a compound derived from the exoskeletons of shrimp, lobster and crab, chitosan prompts wound healing as well as leveraging antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties in your skin”.  I wasn’t able to find much information on chitosan’s effect on skin but there seems to be a lot of information on the internet about its beneficial effects on weight loss, cholesterol and blood pressure when taken internally.

While I am not a skincare expert nor do I have all the scary ingredients committed to memory, I don’t believe there are any ingredients in this product to be concerned with…Marta, please comment if I’ve missed something!  I can tell you that Eyedews contain no preservatives, artificial colors or fragrances. Long-term effects?  I can’t speculate on the long-term effects as I have only used them a handful of times but the experience has been so pleasant and the immediate results so noticeable, I am going to keep them on hand for sure!

Purified Water, Chitosan, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Lamda Carrageena (Red Seaweed) Collagen, Ubiquinone (Co-Q10), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), L-ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Hyaluronic Acid, Paraffin Liquidum, Lavender Oil
