An effective formula that targets dark spots and evens tone

by Jeanne

I admit it: when I get a new beauty product, I tend to smell it before trying it. The scent of lavender rose or honey are just some of the fragrances that attract me. All of which is a longwinded way of saying FutureDerm Vitamin CE Caffeic Serum ($89), with the citrus aroma of a sunshiny day, grabbed my attention from the get-go. It makes sense as the product contains 16% Vitamin C.

The serum, which has a very light consistency, is all about brightening and tightening. From starting its usage a month ago (and trying it on half of my face to see if I really saw a difference), I feel like my right side looks smoother and more even-toned. I have a lot of freckles, and as I age, more dark spots, and though the serum didn't erase them, it did diminish them.

A little bit goes a long way - think a dime-sized portion. A few seconds after spreading the serum on my face, it penetrated nicely and set the palate for my moisturizer. According to the company's literature, it's the only serum with micro-encapsulated Vitamin C meaning it continues to work long after you've smeared it on. Even better: It includes a 30-day money back guarantee if you don't like it. My bet is on you keeping it.

Ingredients in FutureDerm Vitamin CE Caffeic SerumCyclomethicone, Dimethicone Crosspolymer-3, Ascorbic acid, Dimethicone, Bis-vinyl Dimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopherol, Caffeic acid

    Hi Tracey!

We had a new website go up, and we lost a TON of customer service emails. I'm more than happy to refund your purchase and send you a new bottle that won't be as thick -- please let me know your info! nicki[at]futurederm[dot]com

I am on my second bottle. I really liked the feel, texture of my first bottle. I opened the second bottle and it was thick and oily. Never absorbs and difficult to spread. I contacted the company and they never returned my email about the problem, asked them if the formula had changed and described the problem. Very disappointed in the customer service and the product. Will not repurchase anything from them.
