GlamNatural Cream Blush- reader reviewed and recommended

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I’m a medical esthetician as well as an all-around lover of cosmetics and skincare products. Here is my review of the GlamNatural Cream Blush ($32). I love to try new innovative cosmetics. However, my first impression of the GlamNatural blush was mixed. Having never used any form of blush other than pressed or loose powder, this product took some getting used to. At first, I found it difficult to dispense the proper amount and also to blend it in properly. But after a couple weeks’ use, I had it down (hopefully it won’t take you as long... haha!).

The color of the GlamNatural Cream Blush I tried was called Sun Kissed. It’s a lovely bright coral color that would easily complement almost any skin tone, except maybe olive skin types. I’m a Type II on the Fitzpatrick Scale (white, fair; usually burns; tans with difficulty), with a warm peaches-and-cream skin tone. But I have mild/moderate rosacea, which makes the skin on my face appear to have pink undertones. My skin type is oily and sensitive. I’m prone to breakouts and was worried that this cream blush would be too heavy and clog my pores after daily use. It did not.

My morning regimen includes the following: cleanser, serum (added to a slightly moistened face), eye cream, treatment cream, lotion, SPF, and blush. I am not using foundation right now, just an under-eye concealer.

I found that you only need to use a tiny amount of the GlamNatural blush. Gently and slowly press the pump down to dispense the smallest amount possible (smaller than a water droplet) as this is all you will need. The size of the container is .5 oz, so if you use the proper amount, this will last you a long time.

The best way I found to apply the cream blush was with my fingers. I evenly distributed the blush between my index fingers, then carefully traced the area on my face where I wanted the color. (Anytime I tried smearing or rubbing it into my cheekbones, it wouldn’t look right because too much of an area was covered). I patted the color onto my skin until it looked even, and then carefully blended the edges so it appeared natural.

The GlamNatural blush gives you a dewy appearance. I really like this. However, if you prefer a matte look, you might not want to use this. You could always add a finishing powder to create the matte effect, but I don’t think this would be ideal.

All in all, this is a wonderful product that could be used by anyone who doesn’t have very oily skin with moderate to severe acne. It’s an all-natural product void of synthetic fragrance or ingredients in a glass pump container to prevent contamination to your product. This is a luxurious creamy blush, potently packed with color that would flatter most complexions. Try blending a bit of the blush into your favorite lip product to coordinate your lip and cheek colors.
