Hamadi Beauty hair care

June 4, 2008 Reviewed by Marta 2 Comments

A reader tipped me off to Hamadi's range of hair care products. They looked so good that I immediately ordered the Shea Rice Milk Conditioner and the Honey Soy Milk Hair Wash. I liked the look of the spray too, but it is currently out of stock.

It is hard to find a conditioner that detangles without being full of silicone. Hamadi's has behentrimonium methosulfate, which is one of the mildest detanglers available and is made from rapeseed oil. There is burdock root extract, known for scalp conditioning and hair growth stimulation. Rice milk proteins are nourishing and shea is a natural sunscreen. There are a host of other botanicals, such as ylang ylang (horsetail), which is also a hair strengthener. Even the scary sounding babassuamidopropyl betaine turns out to be a vegetable oil from a Amazonian palm that is used in similar ways to coconut oil.

The only thing not to like is sodium hydroxide. In very low levels this can cause irritation. We shall see.

I've now tried Hamadi's shampoo and conditioner and while it was OK, not a stand out. I think the Alaffia wins out for performance and value.

I am interested in your opinion of this after tying it? Sounds like one of the most natural one on the market.
