I was recently sent a bottle of High Sierra Botanicals Svelte Pelt massage/body oil blend to try (thanks, Marta!) and while I am always excited to receive new items to try, this one was different…This meant I had to either give a massage or receive one. Since I am one of the luckiest women in the world and married to a man who hates to get a massage (not even professionally) but truly gives really great massages, I was super excited!!!! While it’s not something he likes to do every week, I can usually talk him into a few massages a month. So, about a week ago, I got a massage and Mike, my husband, used the Svelte Pelt oil.
Mike, as the “massager”, liked the smooth glide that the oil provided and felt it sunk into the skin as opposed to laying on top of it. He could still get a good grip on the muscle groups and obtain good control. He usually comments on the fragrance and liked this product’s aroma. I, as the “masagee”, had little to complain about (I mean – how could I?). The oil felt smooth and did sink into the skin. The fragrance is herb-inspired and relatively pleasant. I did feel that it lingers a bit and, as someone who is really picky and sensitive to fragrance, I found the herbalness bothered me a little bit after prolonged exposure. Suffice to say, I really appreciate the great ingredients (see below) and subsequently have enjoyed another massage since!
As for the claims to “help eliminate toxins which effect cellulite and tissue health”, I can’t comment. I’ve only used it a few times with no change in those areas. But at $13.00 and no ingredients to be afraid of, this is a great option for a massage/body oil.
