HissyFit Anti-Aging Foundation + SPF

Is a Solution for:
Sagging Skin, Sun Protection for Face

I am always eager to try a new foundation, especially if it’s of the anti-aging variety. And I was even more interested in HissyFit’s “Saving Face” because it provides SPF 50+. “You never see an SPF that high in a foundation,” murmured my sister-with-the-beautiful-skin as she inspected the packaging. That was all I needed to hear.

HissyFit has the usual suspects in its ingredient list: specifically, the minerals titanium and zinc dioxides for protection against the sun’s UVA/UVB rays. Here’s why the sun can be so damaging: just 15 short minutes of exposure can prematurely age your skin. Even in winter, just think about how much you walk around (usually without sunglasses), and the amount of sun that comes through the windshield while you’re driving. It’s easy to see why sun protection becomes critical.

Botanical extracts include Australian daisy, which HissyFit says helps in cell renewal and contains anti-inflammatory properties. I have to be honest; I could find little to back up this claim, anywhere. It also includes the better-known pomegranate, which functions as an antioxidant, and green tea to soothe skin.

Though the foundation’s texture was pretty heavy, the coverage was excellent. I also liked that it came in seven different shades, so I could match my skin tone beautifully. At $49.00, this is a great foundation if sunscreen protection is paramount for you.
