I tested the Jenetiqa Aqua Splash ($48) for about 40 days. I am in my seventies and have dry, sensitive skin so I need to keep my skin hydrated day and night. There were no instructions with it on exactly how to use it so I applied it over my serum after cleansing my skin in the morning and again at night before bed.
It is a very good moisturizer, light and quickly absorbed by the skin. It does not leave a greasy film on the skin, but still protects it. It leaves the skin feeling very soft and I liked the light scent — pleasant but not too strong. I dislike highly perfumed products, but a light scent is very pleasing.
The ingredients were mostly healthful which is very important as skin products are absorbed into the bloodstream and can have adverse as well as beneficial effects. Some of the more beneficial ingredients in this moisturizer are sodium hyaluronate, argan oil, CoQ 10 — a coenzyme and antioxidant said to fight free radicals, vitamin E, almond oil and soothing shea butter. These are all ingredients that I look for in moisturizers for my face and body.
I hoped that the moisturizer would diminish my lines and wrinkles, but such a short test was not really fair to the product. My husband says that my face looks better, but I really can't see much difference. I do not expect miracles from skin products, though and the fact that this product is good for my skin — containing only healthful ingredients — and keeping my skin soft and moist is enough.
