This is my first review with TIA and I have to say, I am excited to share my findings with this product. I am a 37 year-old female with very dry skin. You cannot put enough moisturizer or oil onto my skin without it instantly absorbing and needing more. I also tend to use more natural products with skin and body when I can.

I was sent Jenetiqa Aqua Splash ($48) and it came in a small 1.7 oz jar. It came without instructions whatsoever but this may be because it was a sample. I found nothing online either after extensive searching, including on the company’s website. I decided to put the moisturizer on after my serums in the morning and once in the evening before bed.

The formula is a nice consistency, thick but doesn’t go on greasy or too chalky. It is really perfect in that sense. It does have a slight perfume smell but it wasn’t anything overpowering. I liked it. I was really happy with how long the product seemed to stay with my skin. I usually have to put moisturizer on constantly but this seemed to really protect my skin and hydrate it for a long time. It also felt like it tightened my skin a bit over the next few weeks. I didn’t note a visible difference with lines but my skin just felt better.

I think that if you have dry skin, this product is perfect. It would also work well for mixed skin types and really is a nice night-time moisturizer. It does not have an SPF so might not be ideal for those during the day, unless you are really dry, and then you can load sunscreen on top of it too.

I did some research on the ingredients and most seem pretty natural and safe. The only one that you may want to investigate was methylisothiazolinone which is a commonly used preservative in consumer products. I read quite a bit about companies pulling it from their products because it was thought to be unsafe. There was also an argument that in low doses it caused no damage. Dermatologists seemed to be the ones with the most concern, however, so something to note.

Overall, I think this is a great product. I don’t think you can expect big visual results in lines and wrinkles, but certainly accompanied with the right serums it is great to retain moisture and protect your skin from drying out. I liked it and would recommend it.
