Jessica Lange, the New Face of Marc Jacobs Beauty

Jessica Lange, 64, is the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. Kudos to Marc Jacobs for a bold decision that sends a signal of optimism. The days when beautiful women such as Isabella Rossellini and Lauren Hutton were fired from modeling roles for turning 40 are clearly gone. Go, Jessica!

What is really inspiring about Jessica Lange is that she looks natural. For 64, she looks radiant and healthy and her wonderful bone structure isn’t botched by Botox or overdone fillers. So for that matter does Charlotte Rampling, who has just become the face for NARS Cosmetics.

I hope the American Horror Story: Coven star can cast a spell on Marc Jacobs and get him to overhaul his beauty line. The Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Super-Charged Foundation ($48) is claimed to be a “breakthrough gel foundation that’s antiaging." Unfortunately, it doesn’t even have a fairy dusting of anti-aging ingredients. Not one single one. And there’s enough silicone here for a breast implant.

Anyway, I’m delighted that Jessica Lange has this new gig. I’m waiting for my other favorite 60-something, Helen Mirren, to take a crack at modeling. Which 60-something would you love to see as a new “face”?

I'm sorry guys, but that woman has had, at the very least, a mini facelift. I was a very youthful 64, but the bottom line is that gravity is something no wonderful cream can counteract. I did use a red light LED, and it was great. The problem is at a certain point the amount of time I spent with it was ridiculous and the effects wore off within a few days. I just had too much saggy skin and muscle tissue. I don't want to contaminate your site with none-serum solutions, but just know that most women, especially models and actresses, will absolutely deny having had surgery. It takes a good eye and honesty to know what you are looking at. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

That's a hard one - Sophia Loren, Michelle Pfeiffer (O my gosh), Sigourney Weaver, and have you seen Carmen Dell'Orefice? In her 80's and so so beautiful. I just discovered your website - yay me!

Sally Field and Susan Sarandon! These two sixty something women are not only aging gracefully but radiantly as well. They both are just as confident in who they are now as they were 40 years ago, probably more so. Great examples for all of us to embrace who we are at every stage of life and enjoy it. A few products packed with quality actives and some good facial gadgets (LED, etc.) can make it bit more enjoyable! Smile girls! We've come a long way baby!
