I was very impressed with KaplanMD’s sample pack of anti-aging products. The ingredients were very natural and yet effective. I was able to stretch out the sample over a few days and had the opportunity to try the cleansing lotion, toner, day and night creams, eye cream, as well as the serum and microfoliant. My favorite was the Cell Renewing Microfoliant ( Five Best facial scrub).

This list of key ingredients is an example of the high quality ingredients included: soy, grapeseed, black cohosh, pineapple & papaya enzymes, date seeds & jojoba beads, oat flour, safflower seed oil, oatmeal.

I noticed great improvements using only this product for a few days. My skin felt instantly smoother and I noticed over a few days, a reduction in fine lines on my forehead. I know that enzymes, in particular, are very helpful for cell renewal.

I also really enjoyed the cleanser - it cleaned my skin without leaving any residue, but also left my skin feeling soft and fresh, without any dryness. (See also Debra’s review of KaplanMD’s cleanser)

The day and night creams were equally great quality. Although pricey, ($125 for the day cream), it includes moisturizer, SPF and anti-wrinkle ingredients in one formula. It contains other high quality ingredients such as mango seed extract and white and green tea. (The KaplanMD day cream was also reviewed by Lori)

The skin care line is designed to help 3 types of skin aging, including time, hormonal imbalance, and sun damage. I haven't seen product before addressing hormonal imbalance, so this was something new to me. I noticed black cohosh among the ingredient list and know that this is helpful for treating symptoms of menopause naturally. I have not heard before of using this herb topically. This seems to be a progressive anti-aging company. Highly recommended!

Hi Kelly, I agree that Image Skincare has some good products and I used to recommend their Ageless Serum. However, I stopped recommending them because they changed ingredients and pricing in a way that was - at least to me - confusing. The products are difficult to get hold of and they don't give the full ingredients list on their website. In the meantime, I am looking forward to your review of the KaplanMD product that we sent you so that you can share your experience - good or bad - with other readers who weren't lucky enough to receive a full size product to test.

Marta was kind enough to send me KaplanMD's Cell Renewing Microfoliant, which I used religiously (age 47, plenty of sun damage, in need of cell turnover!)until the tube was gone. On the positive side, it lasted quite a while, and was a good mechanical exfoliant. On the other hand, $55 for 3.25 oz. is pricey, and I already have a favorite exfoliant which I think is superior: Image Skincare's Ageless Total Resurfacing Masque, which can be used as a daily scrub, or a masque as it contains glycolic, lactic and salacylic acids. I find that use of it keeps my skin radiant and soft, and the added bonus of the chemical exfoliation means I'll keep using it and not switch to KaplanMD. Marta, although it is a physician/aesthetician-only line, I have been using various Image Skincare products (they have 5 different lines ranging from acne to organic to aging) and have had dermatologists ask me what I use on my face to keep my skin so supple and clear. The ingredients used in their lines are top-notch and cutting edge, with none of the bad stuff that has made me throw away hundreds of dollars of other skincare products. Take a look at the lines: www.imageskincare.com.

This Kaplan MD line of products are great. Marta was very kind and I believe sent me samples of this line because I had mentioned that I just had Mohs Micrographic surgery on my face for a basal cell carcinoma removal and I would appreciate having something to pamper my skin while I was healing. Thanks so very much for these samples Marta. When I can afford to purchase this line I definitely will.
