I was so fortunate to be asked to try the Keracell Anti-Aging Vitamin C Serum ($100). I incorporated the Keracell serum in my routine for just under 6 weeks during Spring on the East Coast. Initially, I wasn't sure how to use the serum as the product instructions are to apply the serum directly to clean skin. The serum is further recommended as a make-up primer.

My 50-something skin wasn't happy, though, with the serum used alone without a moisturizer step. After a week or so of using the serum alone I reached out to the Keracell company for assistance and received very nice responses from Keracell informing me that it would be a good idea to apply a moisturizer step before applying the serum.

Keracell's Vitamin C serum is designed to help brighten, firm and smooth a person's complexion. The formula has stabilized vitamin C along with vitamin A and E and gentian leaf extract suspended in a silicone base. Orange micro-beads which contain vitamin C are a really fun aspect of the serum. The micro-beads are soft and break easily upon application of the serum.

Vitamin C, A and E's many skin care advantages include helping to make the appearance of skin more even, diminishing age spots and freckles, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and moisturizing overall.

Once I started applying the Keracell serum after a moisturizing step I had much greater success with my skin feeling moisturized and happy. The serum does in deed work really well as a makeup primer under my foundation. I also put the serum on the top of my hands twice a day just for good measure.

I enjoyed using Keracell's Vitamin C serum but did not see any change in my skin tone or fine lines after using one bottle. I think this is because for these changes to occur the serum needs to be used for a longer time frame. Maybe a three month use would be a more reasonable window to see actual skin change.
