A great cream blush that leaves skin looking dewy

by Jennifer

I haven't always had the best luck with cream blushes, but Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Desired Glow was a different story. My skin is on the dry side, which tends to make blending difficult but my experience with this blush was nothing of the sort.

For my first application, I noted that it was heavily pigmented, which meant just a dab would do. It certainly had that creamy texture one looks for in a cream blush, and felt surprisingly lightweight. I thought for sure since it had such great pigmentation it might feel a little heavy, but I was proved wrong. It melts into your skin using the heat from your fingers which made it super easy to blend out any excess. The color was a warm tan that I liked against my light skin. It achieves its namesake effect, but what I liked about it was that it didn't necessarily make me look "tan" per se, rather just healthier. It is certified organic and contains amazing ingredients like jojoba and rosehip seed oil, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil and shea butter, along with vanilla planifolia fruit extract, gardenia Florida fruit extract. Great benefits are that these elements help to add moisture and improve skin's elasticity.

As someone with sensitive skin, I can also attest to its gentleness and did not experience any breakouts in the areas I applied it. I can admit to seeing a slight (emphasis on slight) increase in hydration because at times my cheeks appeared somewhat moist and dewy while wearing it (a look that can be considered foreign to my skin). The added vanilla planifolia fruit extract supposedly adds a light vanilla scent but I can't say I detected any scent period. Overall I am quite pleased with this compact right down to its stunning metal packaging. I love that it gives you the opportunity to buy refills when its contents have been depleted and that its silver casing can even act as a convenient mirror for applications.

I tried the lip color and found that it had no hint of color when I put it on and there was no discernible product on my lips at all (not even a hint of shine). I love the design of the compact though
