I am 55 and have combination skin with very few surface wrinkles. But I have really bad under-eye circles, puffiness and bags due to severe allergies. Upon opening the KTO Kelly Teegarden Rose and Cucumber Eye Cream ($30), the first thing I noticed is that it smells nothing like either rose or cucumber. It smells more like yogurt and has the consistency of a runny yogurt along with a sour smell. I used it twice a day as directed.

The second thing I noticed is that it didn’t soak into the skin under my eyes and left white marks. After a month of use, I would’ve hoped to see some benefit; alas, I did not. It wasn’t irritating, which is good for me because my skin is very sensitive - so that was the upside of the product. Ultimately, the huge downside is that I noticed no discernible difference in the under-eye bags, circles or puffiness at all. It was almost as if I wasn’t using anything at all.

All in all, I applaud the company and its mission of developing products that are chemical free. But, short of that, I would not recommend the eye cream or use it again. I need something more intensive than what this offered. I’m not sure what I was expecting this product to do, as I hadn’t read the product description, but, clearly, it is not for a woman with the under-eye issues I possess. Perhaps it would have worked better for a young teenage girl, but for a woman in her 50s, not so much.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us Barb. When I look at the ingredients what strikes me is that, while they are all natural, you have to get past several alcohols and preservatives to get to the most interesting botanical extracts. Maybe you would have had better results if the list was inverted.
