I was the lucky recipient of La Isha’s  Orange-Coconut Skin Polish.  This lovely skin polish is a delight to use, mostly because it smells incredibly delicious and you are very tempted to eat it. The ingredients are so simple and pure - sugar, coconut oil, vitamin E, Rosemary, Neem, Sweet Orange, and Pomegranate – that it probably wouldn’t hurt you if you did.

Unlike other sugar scrubs that I have tried in the past this one isn’t soaked in oil. In fact, it has a much drier consistency and almost feels like a puddy. I actually prefer this over the super oily ones that end up making a slippery mess in your shower or tub. And even though the sugar crystals aren’t soaking in a tub of oil, it still manages to leave your skin moist, hydrated and glowy.

On the downside, the sugar crystals are very light and gentle and melt away quickly. I prefer a more rigorous scrub when I’m exfoliating my body. But when I checked out La Isha's site it said that this skin polish can safely be used on your face, lips and under the eyes.  I didn’t try it on my sensitive facial skin, but I could imagine with very light touch it might be gentle enough for the face. Which makes me wonder, if something is gentle enough for my under eye skin, is it really going to be effective at scrubbing away the rough skin on my arms and legs?

For a true body exfoliation my favorite is still the little Korean mitts, which work wonders on dead skin. La Isha’s skin polish is more of sweet pampering experience, that smells amazing and leaves your skin nice and hydrated, if not fully scrubbed and freshly polished.
