I am getting to know and love the small but beautifully formed organic range, La Vie Celeste. I began with the Exfoliating Gel Mask ($60) that is a mild but very effective glycolic treatment that is now my go to skin brightener and smoother at least twice a week. I am still testing the eye cream, but I am already enjoying it and plan to be able to review it in full towards the end of the month.

In the meantime, I am thrilled to have all five La Vie Celeste products in the Truth In Aging shop. The ingredients are intelligently chosen antiagers and the quality to price ratio is impressive.

Both the eye cream ($60) and day/night cream ($65) major on R-lipoic acid, a chirally correct form (which means the molecules are well absorbed by the skin) of this powerful antioxidant. Studies have shown that it helps overcome vitamin C and E deficiencies (although vitamin E is here for good measure as well). The eye cream has brightening bearberry with a natural alpha arbutin, while coffee will send your bags packing. The day/night cream has fatty acid rich apricot kernel oil and antioxidant spirulina.

The cleanser ($30) unusually uses mother of pearl and clay to exfoliate. A good cleanser should be the foundation of a skin care regiment and this one qualifies with tea, ginseng and apple antioxidants. The toner ($30) has enough antiagers to put some serums to shame. We'll be testing and reviewing all the products over the coming weeks and in the meantime you can go to our shop if you want to browse and check out the full ingredients
