I have been using the Lumixyl Topical Brightening Crème ($120) since receiving it even though I was a bit leery, as it specifically stated that sunscreen must be worn while using it. Don't get me wrong, as I wear sunscreen pretty much religiously, but I've noticed more and more that even with HydroPeptide SPF30 Anti-wrinkle Skin Enhancing UV Protection ($40) it still often feels like the sun is penetrating my skin. This led me to a bit of researching and learning that weaknesses in our magnetosphere are indeed letting more sun in…but I digress, sorry. Suffice it to say that I was concerned this would be an issue with this particular product.

Bottom line, this stuff is very effective. But I also noticed that I seemed to end up with more dark spots even with sunscreen on if I was out during peak sun hours, which is what I originally dreaded.  As a result of this I have shied away from all over face use but will apply regularly on the upper lip area as part of my evening regimen. I then top it off with a layer of moisturizer like SenZen Infinity Never Ending Moisture ($95), M Lab, or just some emu oil. This seems to be most effective and works best for me. The darker area over the lip seems lighter but it immediately reverts if I even step outside for a short period without a double layer of sunscreen.

My skin is normal and to date has not been prone to any type of irritations so I was really surprised when I first received this Lumixyl sample and topped it off with a layer of La Vie Celeste (from your Christmas sample box) and I had a very serious itchy response. It was not painful and didn’t leave visible results on my skin so I tried it again but had the same thing happen again.

Thank you again for the opportunity to test a product for you.
