Made from Earth Olive Night Creme- reader reviewed and recommended
Hi readers, we are in the middle of a very cold winter here in South Australia, so I was delighted to be asked to review Made from Earth Olive Night Creme ($40). In the winter my 64-year-old skin needs a fairly rich cream.
When I opened the plain glass jar, I was very surprised (and pleased) that there was no heavy floral or citrus perfume so often present in organic, natural creams. In fact there was hardly any scent at all. I was also amazed at how light the cream was for one with so much olive oil and olive butter in it. The first ingredient is aloe vera juice, which I have never seen as the main ingredient in a night cream. This certainly explains the lightness and the way it just sinks in to your skin without leaving a heavy residue.
I was hooked the first morning I woke up and felt my skin. Soft, dewy, and moist but not greasy. In the past I have always been disappointed with night creams. They are mostly heavy yet oftentimes the next morning my skin would feel tight as though I had forgotten to put on night cream, or worse, it would be sticking to my satin pillowcase like I had put petroleum jelly on my face!
I had a look at the Made from Earth website and noted that this cream is also recommended for use around the eyes. As a contact lens wearer, I found it to be perfect, so no need for an extra eye cream. (Although sometime soon I will be treating myself to the new YBF Correct as everyone seems to love it).
One of the more interesting ingredients in the olive cream is neem. This is a wonderful ingredient for sensitive skins, very soothing.
I am hoping that TIA decides to stock this cream as I, for one, will definitely be buying some. I realized this week that it has been more than four weeks since I started using the product and there is more than half a jar left, which will see me through the whole winter.
I cannot comment on the “lessening of wrinkles” claim. As a beauty therapist, I really do not believe these sorts of claims from any company; however, this cream is one of the best I have ever used. I am absolutely delighted with the product and recently even had friends asking if I was using something new.
Thank you to TIA for giving me the opportunity to review it.
