Male Order: Eco Lips lip balm
Eco Lips is 99% organic and chockfull of the stuff your lips will actually smile about (ok, cheesy line but it kinda works). It has no petroleum (unlike Kiehl's), lead or carmine (the awful 99c stuff you can get at a gas station). In fact, Eco Lips is big on natural elements. I use Eco Lips Sport (I like the idea of moisturizing and protection). It's actually 81% organic because it contains SPF ingredients, and I'm really impressed it says 81% on the actual product instead of misleading anyone. The active ingredients are sunflower seed oil, which basically helps retain moisture in the skin. There's also jojoba seed oil (another moisturizing agent) and light vanilla flavoring. You would think it stops there, but they also pack in aloe vera leaf extract and calendula flower extract. What a powerhouse of organic extracts that are a) is good for your skin b) actually retains the moisture.
At Whole Foods, it's only $3.99, which I think is quite a bargain considering it is sincerely full of good ingredients. The cool thing is that it came with an eco clip (hey, come on... don't tell me you never lose your lip balm!). It turns out that my roommate also uses Eco Lips but the flavored version (they just launched a Pure & Simple line where their organic lip balms are 100% edible). She's as much an organic product buff as me but the fact we realized we both use Eco Lips is a little too strange... Coincidence? Or just good taste?
