During my facial at Haven Spa in Soho (see yesterday's post), Monique (my therapist) opted to use one of Haven's own facial masks from its line called Plum. If a small, non-chain boutique can pull off their own brand successfully, I'm always impressed.
And I was equally impressed with the mask itself. It effortlessly fit into the facial with Yon-Ka products, which is big on natural extracts. This mask's main ingredients are purified water, bentonite (which absorbs the oil and purifies your skin) and safflower oil, which is high in linoleic acid, which your skin produces to keep it soft and combat pollutants. So, essentially, with the mask, it replenishes what your skin could naturally lack given circumstances like weather, travel, diet (in my case, I feel like I lacked a substantial amount!). Other top ingredients include calendula extract (rejuvinating), chamomile extract (soothing/anti-inflammatory), linden extract (antioxidant) and cornflower extract (which is great for sensitive skin, known for soothing qualities).
I felt it penetrate my pores (always important if you're into deep cleansing), and it revitalized a dull complexion as promised (it's been months since I've had a facial, and I've been on the road for weeks, so I know the mad point of dullness my face can take on).
