When I was originally offered the opportunity to review this product, Mama Mio Shrink To Fit Hip & Thigh Cream ($56), I first went on the Mama Mio site to see what it was and what it was about. This product addresses the appearance of cellulite on your legs and hips. There are so many cellulite-reducing or -appearance-improving products, now. I've used a number of them with uneven results. I immediately noticed Mama Mio's instructions for use of this product. I was impressed, and intrigued, by how straightforward they were:
"Ladies, you are going to have to commit if you really want to see results! Please take 20 seconds in the morning or the evening to really massage Shrink To Fit Hip & Thigh Cream into your curves every day for 30 days.... [Y]ou don't expect one week's use to last a lifetime.... It is going to feel quite hard to rub that quantity in. THAT IS DELIBERATE. We want you to really work at that cellulite, massage Shrink To Fit in very vigorously, so you are improving macro and micro-circulation at the same time."
I think, with the other products I've used, either the instructions weren't clear or it wasn't instilled in my mind why the instructions were important to follow to the letter. Mama Mio's instructions made sense, so I remembered them and, consequently, followed them.
The container is a pump, slightly different from the one they show on their website. I think the pump I have is probably easier to use and gets the right amount of product out.
Mama Mio Shrink To Fit Hip & Thigh Cream smells nice but not too strong and doesn't linger. It's difficult to describe it - pleasant and 'feminine' but not flowery or perfume-y. The texture of the lotion is creamy and smooth, and pleasant to work with. It absorbs easily and well into the skin.
Working the lotion into the skin is actually more work than you might think; at least it was for me. I used one pump per leg and spread it around evenly, and then I massaged it into my skin for a good 20 seconds or so. It gave my hands a workout! I forget how strong skin is.
After a month, I do see a difference in my skin - both in the texture and in the appearance. I confess my use has been slightly uneven due to unforeseen family matters and work issues, but the fact that I still see a difference speaks for the product. I'm looking forward to continuing my work with it.
I really like Mama Mio and their website. They're straightforward and funny, but they still take their products seriously. And I do recommend Shrink To Fit. If you're interested in trying Shrink To Fit, it's not cheap. But I saw results, and it does have excellent ingredients.
