Max Factor to abandon US market
If you have a fave Max Factor lipstick or eyeshadow, start stockpiling now. Distribution of Max Factor in the US is being wound down this year by owner Proctor & Gamble and will be completely phased out by 2010.
The 'makeup of makeup artists' has been losing its lustre of late, although sales are still holding up in international markets. Here in the US, sister brand Cover Girl - which is younger and sexier - has been overtaking Max Factor in sales and profits.
