Max Green Alchemy’s Scalp Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner ($15) is one of the BEST shampoo/conditioner duos I have used. I am 64, with colored hair, and after having undergone five years of chemotherapy, my hair and scalp were in terrible condition. The shaft of the hair was rough, my scalp was scaly and itchy, and, overall, my hair was dull and extremely limp and thin looking. The product improved my hair and scalp condition, and gave me a fuller and shinier head of hair (all four to five inches of it). I used the products exclusively for a month; I even used no styling products, such as hair spray or volumizer.

The shampoo had a pleasant herbal scent with good texture, and it produced ample foam from only a small amount of product. The foamy lather rinsed out easily, leaving a fresh and tingling clean hair and scalp. The conditioner did not weigh down my hair, and it had a nice scent that complemented the shampoo’s fragrance. My hair was left silky, tangle free and bouncy.

By the third use of the Max Green Alchemy partner products, my hair seemed to have more volume, a deeper color (perhaps the result of it being in better condition?) and high shine. Styling became easier – I could now blow-dry and lightly shape my hair with only a styling brush (no other products needed).

And as I continue to use the products, my scalp has stopped flaking and itching (the scalp condition was caused by medication and dryness, not from dandruff). This product is excellent for damaged hair or to remove chemical buildup on the shaft of the hair. It cleans gently and does not seem to cause an allergic response – most likely due to the high quality/purity of the product.

Thank you, Truth in Aging, for allowing me to test this five-star product.

Great review Joan * both the shampoo and conditioner have been a staple in our house for years. Wouldn't you agree too that their price makes them a good value?
