Cons

May bother those who don't like the smell of lavender
A terrific two-in-one foot scrub and moisturizer

I am the flip flop queen. Years of living in cities with year-round sunshine, combined with my oddly shaped feet, has always made these my footwear of choice. The result? Heels that are continually pounded, dry and miserable. I am a newbie in the Truth In Aging office. Nevertheless, when Me & the Girls sent us a sample of their Lavandula Revive Foot Scrub ($24) to try, I launched myself across the room and pounced on it! If ever there were a pair of feet to challenge a foot scrub claiming to “invigorate, exfoliate and restore smooth, soft, sexy feet,” mine would be them!

Me & The Girls call their scrub a “Pedicure In A Jar.” A rather bold statement for an unassuming little jar, one might think, but oh my goodness, they are right! Applying this product to dry feet is like getting a wonderfully exfoliating foot massage. It smells amazing (lavender, with a hint of mint) and leaves behind a silky protective layer of essential oils that even the inner city New York smog cannot penetrate. A week in of using it three times a week I was already noticing that my feet felt (and looked) much softer and smoother. And at the end of the 30-day test period, I am pleased to say that I now have feet to be proud of. Who knows, I might even paint my toenails!

One of the best things about this scrub is that it’s so moisturizing, you really don’t need to apply a foot cream afterwards. This not only saves you time and money, but also avoids the whole “I have sticky, foot-creamy feet, which I’m now going to cover my floors and/or new summer sandals with” saga! I also loved the sweet little wooden spatula that comes with the product for ease of application.

A quick glance at the label reveals the main ingredient, sugar cane, does most of the scrubbing. I credit the softness to a delightful blend of shea and cupuacu seed butter, together with coconut, avocado and olive fruit oils.

The fabulous smell is almost certainly the result of a potent puree of spearmint leaf, peppermint and lavender oils, which are all mixed in along with that good old skin-loving vitamin E. I recommend this product to flip flop lovers everywhere!

Ingredients: Sucrose (Sugarcane)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil)*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Persea Americana (Avocado Oil)*, Olea Europaea (Olive Fruit Oil)*, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Leaf Oil)*, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint Leaf Oil)*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint Oil)*, Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuacu Seed Butter)*, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla Wax)**,  Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender Oil)*, Vitamin E - Tocopherol.

I live in the south and as a summer loving girl, it is hard to find me in anything but sandles or flip flops. From the wintertime and abuse of summer, my feet or shall I say my sheets and socks were screaming for an answer. I truly have probably tried every product on the planet and Me & the Girls is the only one that I ever noticed a change immediately. The first time I used it, my 700 count thread sheets literally thanked me. The funniest part is after I became a regular user, I found my husband exfoiating his feet in the kitchen sink....to this day, I think his feet are softer than mine! As wonderful as the foot exfoliator is, I have a hard time picking which of her products are my favorite. I do not think that there is one that you can go wring with.
